Do you still rate Cus Damato over Jack Blackburn? He Trained Jersey Joe Walcott on top of Joe Louis, so the oldest and Longest reigning Heavyweight Champions at that time. As well as a few other lighter division champions. Blackburn and Arcel were rivals with with Joe Louis beating so many of Arcel's Heavyweights that they nicknamed him the Meat Cart 😂 Then Charles was able to beat Louis near the end of his career, and we got the amazing back and fourth 4 fights with Walcott. I'm not qualified to argue with you, I just wonder if Blackburn doesn't rate higher than Damato.

I think you need to understand both bjj and wrestling. The issue with wrestling is you typically leave you neck exposed. Even as a great wrestler you need bjj as well or a bjj expert will probably submit you if the can avoid being ground and pounded. I agree with pretty much everything else though especially the street fight aspect. Bisping days the same thing, go to the ground in a street fight you’ll get stomped out by his friends

Jomama: Nope. You do not NEED BJJ lol. You may need to know what is needed for a submission to avoid it, but training in BJJ is not needed. A myth. I do not believe that.

What your doing is fair and reasonable, to tell people who don’t like your content or your personality to leave. It’s the mature adult thing to do. But unfortunately in the day and age of the internet troll, I don’t see them leaving. It’s like breaking up with a woman who’s crazy. You both know it’s over and neither of you are happy or even like each other. But she’s parked outside your house, and place of work. She doesn’t want you to even to be happy without her even though she can find happiness without you. Unfortunately that’s what trolls are, they get off on triggering you and getting a response from you. It might just be more time efficient to just block people as soon as they expose themselves to be foolish or delusional. But I’ll stay subscribed either way.

Nothing controversial here. I agree with all the above… From Futch, Archie Moore, Conor, even BJJ. With BJJ it’s a little personal. I use to teach Judo in a BJJ school for obvious reasons. When I mentioned striking… this ended the relationship. I live across the river from you. I grew up in Shotokan, boxing and judo. Run your channel your way.

@@TheUmmahFightCamp No, I wasn't trying to claim anything. I don't know enough to have an opinion. I just find it interesting. I asked a question about Angelo Dundee and Gil Clancy in rec.sport.boxing a little less than twenty years ago and got these two replies and one of them included Ray Arcel and Cus D'Amato: Angelo Dundee and Gil Clancy boxed, didn't they? Aug 14, 2002 rec.sport.boxing Angelo boxed a few times in the army during World War II and worked as a corner man. After the war, he went to work for his brother, Chris Dundee, who was a fight manager in New York. He spent a lot of time with Charlie Goldman (Marciano's trainer) and learned a lot from him and other top trainers. Eventually, Dundee became the trainer for Carmen Basilio. In 1960 he was hired to train Cassius Clay. Chris Dundee started managing fighters in 1928 and had about 300 fighters over the years. His best known fighter was Ezzard Charles, who became heavyweight champion while managed by Chris Dundee. Gil Clancy never boxed. On the other hand, Charlie Goldman (Marciano's trainer), and Jack Blackburn (Joe Louis's trainer) fought hundreds of bouts before becoming trainers. Goldman is thought to have fought at least 400 times, and Blackburn around 300 times. Eddie Futch boxed as an amateur and won some titles, including a Golden Gloves title, but he couldn't turn pro when it was discovered he had a heart murmur. As an amateur he worked out in the same gym with young Joe Louis and they sparred quite a bit. Lou Duva boxed as both pro and amateur and won the New Jersey Diamond Gloves welterweight championship. Gus D'Amato never boxed. He took Floyd Patterson to the heavyweight title, Jose Torres to the light heavyweight title, and was Mike Tyson's original trainer. Ray Arcel didn't box, but he trained the most world champions of anyone, twenty, including Barney Ross, Jimmy Braddock, Ezzard Charles, Tony Zale, Roberto Duran and Larry Holmes. Braddock was champion 1935-37 and Holmes 1978-85. That's a 50 year span from one heavyweight champion to the other for Arcel. Jack Kearns fought as a pro about 60 times. He managed Harry Wills, Jack Dempsey, Mickey Walker, Joey Maxim, and Archie Moore. Emanuel Steward boxed as an amateur and had a 94-3 record and won the 1963 National Golden Gloves. Those who didn't box learned their trade by putting in their time working as corner men and cut men and assisting older trainers. Bobby Bearden KB Gil Clancy also boxed in the army and won several bouts
