I so appreciate your videos, watching your work, the art process, your sweet soulful sharings, and the music you add in parts of your video its all just really lovely and calming and inspiring! I started a collage after watching a few of your videos, so you inspired me to actually sit with my papers and started creating something and I've not done that in a long time. Thank you, I think you really inspired me!

I love your paintings. The colors are wonderful. The content is very true to nature, organic but very whimsical. You are a true artist because you have an idea, you build on it giving it life. You bring the natural and mystical world onto your canvas. It's beautiful.

Thanks again for being so inspirational! I too have been thinking and calling different things I make flower power or saying ideas about the power of flowers and art in one way or another.💐 Fowers are powerful! Plants and art and wonderful flowers and nature and love of it all blend together in our expressions of appreciation and discovery and feelings and who knows what else goes into it all, life is amazing! I remember one time commenting on one of your videos almost like a vision when you were having a low moment and I said something about rose petals and light I think falling gently in a healing kind of way. One of your paintings that you created after that really looks like what I was saying! Beautiful! It's really fascinating seeing a lotta similarities in many ways in what you do and differences of course since we are all one of a kind. Your sharing is very inspirational and I'm very thankful! Thanks for sharing and encouraging and being you🎉🌹🌿😊💐🌿

Dear Wendy, I loved your Gallery Wall. Your paintings (finished or not) are so beautiful and I love the fact that you include a quote or some words even. I am not a professional artist, I do it as a hobby (I have been doing it all my life with different forms of art work) but I had never thought about a Gallery Wall and I think that’s a great idea to observe our work from a distance. Sometimes I have the tendency to worry and finish it, and I liked your advice of having a cup of tea with it (I love tea, so I immediately pictured a nice a sweet scenario). I too have been stopping myself from going back to the life before the pandemic. I don’t do what I used to do and I don’t go where I used to go. And although I think that’s not a good thing for me, I am having some trouble in going back to my past habits, that I loved. And the fact is that here in Portugal the rate of vaccination is very, very high. Everybody wants to be vaccinated and we have very few people who don’t, so it’s quite safe. I wonder why I have so much trouble in doing things I used to do and made me happy. I do love to be at home and in my studio, but I stopped doing other things that gave me pleasure as well. It was very good for me to hear about your experience and start to motivate myself to go back to what I also loved. Thank you for keeping me company. Your sincerity, genuine personality and honesty has been helping me a lot in my journey throughout this beautiful earth. I am very happy to have your company every week and also on instagram. Lots of love and happiness to you and James ♥️💜🧡💙💛💚❤️

I’m one of those super vulnerable people who shouldn’t be out and about but I’ve been doing little bits for a while going to charity shops or for a coffee etc . I wear a mask all the time I don’t care what people think of me. Trees are interesting beings, in touch with each other, helping each other, there are mother trees and their babies, the more I read and learn the more amazed I am at just how some of us know these things intuitively but science is starting to catch up!! I love that you and James have work meetings, but it’s great to keep work separately. Keep your lovely light shining bright lovely Wendy. We are all here for you. 🥰🥰💐🌸🌼

Darling Wendy, I've been binge watching your videos for several weeks now. I started while recovering from covid which I came down with Christmas day. I am new to painting and art though I was a photographer for 20+ yrs. I closed my studio in 2013 to care for my Mom. I struggle with fibromyalgia and find it difficult to make time for Art. I get so tired from doing life. BUT... Thanks to you recent videos I'm much more motivated now. Much Love!

Things are a tough for me at the moment because both my parents have s terminal illness. I have been worrying about my Mother especially. She is so afraid and trying hard to be brave. Hi Wendy, newish subscriber (non artist who hopes to “have a go” this year - surrounded by talented family members). Love all you do in your vlogs, as I have been binge-watching your past ones to catch up, always late to the party! Thank you for the etsy order which arrived so fast and look so good in real life. You are so talented, left handed I notice and that can be a “thing” of arty, creative people can’t it. Hmm I am right handed 🙄 You reminded me at the end here with your gallery wall to music, of a fav childhood tv prog when I was young of Tony Hart and Vision On, where children sent their paintings in to be displayed. My late Aunt loved Bagpuss. And I think of charity shops as unexpected treasure. Thanks to you and James for helping to keep our lights bright in these testing times. x 🧡

Thank you Jane for your kind encouragement, I will definitely unwrap the art supplies I have and will give it a go this year. My thinking about left handedness linked to the arts and creativity may well be flawed and outdated. But when one reads a list of left handed artists includes Rubens, Toulouse Lautrec, Raphael, Rembrandt, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo, and that under the heading of music are Benjamin Britten, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Sting, Sir Paul McCartney and Mozart, it is easy to jump to conclusions that the odds here are stacked against me! Blessings! 🧡☺️

Thank you so much for sharing your vulnerability related to restrictions regarding your exemption. I went through the same thing. I've suffered from asthma since I was 6 months old (now almost 59) and I just avoided going places for fear of others judging me because I wasn't wearing a mask. I continue to hold hope that we will all find a way to live in peace and respect for each other and that many more will understand the bigger picture of the implication of what the last few years have been about. I so appreciate you and your vlog as it provides such calm in a challenging time. Your sweet and loving spirit always fills me up with goodness, peace, joy, and love. Thank you!!

Hi Wendy. I find your self insights very similar to my own although you have assisted me to make a lot more lately and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Being in a restrictive rut is no fun at all and I didn't even realize that was going on, but it sure enough was. Now I've reached inside my palettes to swatch every single one and I'm finding it most therapeutic to do so. It has caused me to get mighty excited to get back into my painting. And thank you for your amazing gallery idea and your gallery is so calming and beautiful. Does your subconscious seem to assist you in making such art as you may need at any given time? I have noticed that most of the folks that watch your videos feel that you are so comforting and calming. It seems like just the ticket to also feeling calmer and comforted yourself too. That's why I've chosen to concentrate wholly on 2 journals I have gathered any supplies I may need for each journal. One is Woodland and foresty (not sure what I'll name it yet) and the other shall be about fairies and magic. I have ideas for each now (finally) for paintings I will make and add to my journals. Just know that my love is sent to you every day (via airmail-haha) because you are a very special lady. Thank you for just about everything, esp getting my will back to return to painting. XOXOJANE

I watched your video in straightenening up your studio, it gave me the motivation to get out my art supplies and start creating. Watching you uplifts my spirit, you have a beautiful soul. I'm.having a quiet day in my own space. Listening to the wind and rain. I've de cluttered and cleaned my space ready for my next reiki clients. Have to say, I'm face mask exempt as well. And this whole 2 years have been hard. Going to the supermarket and people scowling and jumping out of my way. But I dont gove it a second thought now, I've stopped letting it upset me. I think many have just stopped doing anything. Their.mental health has got worse and.they are actually stuck in a rut of staying home. We sometimes have to push ourselves, to start doing things we love again. So well done you for going to see your tree.

Housing prices all over the US are going bonkers too. If you're ever in the market to see what New York City rents are like, a guy named Cash Jordan does 'apartment tours along with their prices.' I wonder where these prices will end - it's so outrageous. Instead of costs going DOWN which I would have expected with the pandemic, they're skyrocketed. Cash is on U Tube. Wendy, I loved the idea of a gallery wall to see changes and progressions in our work. It points out how cramped my art area is --- no gallery wall for me - ha! Thank you to you and James for another lovely video! xx

I think what you voiced in the beginning of this video was one of the most important truths about what these past years have made us aware of. You restricted yourself. Not because of fear for a disease but because you felt looked upon in a more negative way. You had a mask exception but in a shop and in public you felt the gaze of others . And in a way you probably felt like you had to excuse or explain yourself most of the time . Well , it takes a lot of courage to not be part of the masses for one. But what is more important to me is that in a way , maybe unconsciously, lots of people suddenly had to realize the fragility of freedom. A freedom we in the West took for granted when it is far from that. Now , don’t get me wrong, I ‘m not saying that democracy and our open society is gone but we touched, got a little taste of how it would be to live in a totalitarian regime. Part of my family lived in the USSR and an other part lived in Germany in the 1930 s . I was told their stories as a child about living in those times, the division among civilians, the controle of the gouvernement on peoples life……. We had a little taste of that here in the West and I think our uneasy-ness (well for me it was) came from the realisation how fragile our way of life actually is. You can loose freedom and harmony over night and that is a dreadful thought . Loved your gallery wall . 🤗

Wow, Ilse, You have stated these facts so well. I, too, have felt that punch in the face over the last 5 yrs or so. To realize that the life I've had for so many yrs (and I suppose have taken for granted, though I know better than that!) had became precarious and even dangerous at times was a true life changer for me. That coupled with a few non controllable health issues have turned me into somewhat of a hermit. My husband, who has the energy of a 30 yr old, does 99% of our shopping (but if we go to Hobby Lobby here in Arizona, it's all me-haha), and does most errands too. He's much faster than me as I dawdle over the food usually coming up with a meal I haven't made in eons, etc. so he actually prefers to go alone. He's gotten so good with groceries. I got sidetracked, sorry. I love what you have said and agree totally with all of it. Thank you for expressing this situation so well. Oh, I am a Lefty too but I believe Righties are as great artists as we are, so. no worries. Don't you just love this channel? It's a wonderful way to enjoy Wendy and James and their love story thread thru all of Wendy's wonderful art adventures, nature walks or tree hugging, and everything in between. I pray that they will find that cottage of their dreams in an affordable price so that Wendy can have a nice studio And the garden will be wonderful. I appreciate all of Wendy's insights that she shares so willingly regarding mental, physical, and artistic ways of increasing health within oneself. I have done some heavy thinking since watching her Videos and found some important insights about myself which are ever so helpful. So glad you've joined Wendy and James' "family."💛(yellow for Spring, yay, the end is in sight.) XOXOJANE

I very much appreciate the way you described how you look at your art, and use it to determine where you need to go next with it. I never gave much thought to the continuity aspect of creativity. The way I used to write songs was, I would try to be different each time. I would try to avoid saying the same thing twice, or using similar styles. In my mind I had a great value for variety, but maybe that's what put people off-- like I was deficient in having a style or genre that they could predict. I think I underestimate how much familiarity comforts and relaxes people. Maybe my chaos was very off-putting. Then, I don't know how much control we have over what "comes out" of us. Learning to just accept that I have been able to create something at all was a struggle.

Hi Argus, It sounds an awful lot like you have similar feelings that many of us have expressed here. I think that much of the strife in the last few years has brought these feelings out. I suppose we all have them from time to time, hey, mine had lasted 2 yrs related to my art. But after watching You Tubers express their feelings, especially our Wendy here, we've realized we're not alone. Now that Spring is closer, many of us feel we've gotten permission from the Universe, NOT the government, to express ourselves any way we feel like doing so. Things change so fast it seems, and I bet your songs are great, but you've hit on an important insight for yourself. Just like Wendy giving herself permission to change any of her art if she wants and when she wants to, even over many cups of tea, you can do the same if you want to. Or you can leave your songs changeable if you want also. I understand the questions you've asked yourself and the first thing I think of is what if I did something similar. In other words changed my subjects suddenly and used all different methods so that my art looked like different people doing each piece; then I'd say, yes that is confusing. In thinking on it I believe I'd prefer that my art style be recognizable no matter my subject. Anyway, just a few thoughts. XOXOJane

I've been procrastinating for so long and have been suffering from artist's block as well but seeing this, has given me hope.. I've been directionless for so long now , stuck in a place I don't want to be . My paintbrushes are reaching/screaming out to me everytime I walk past them but I have been unable to touch them. Hi Wendy I've not commented before but have been following you for around a year. I love your personality, and how you keep everything so real, something that seems to be lacking today! I too suffer with anxiety and your vlogs are so calming to watch. As a hsp I'm so easily overwhelmed and the last year has been the worst year of my life, I really identify with what you said about avoiding going out and doing the things you used to do. Seeing masked faces gives me anxiety so I've also been avoiding the outdoors to a large extent, I hope things will get better soon 🙏 keep up the good work 😊

I used to love art so much but I took Art as one of my a level subjects 4 years ago and never quite recovered. It was a crushing experience and fed enormously into my perfectionism. Now I can’t bring myself to pick up a pencil or paintbrush without carrying the weight of my own expectation and the pressure to produce a masterpiece, lest I should come away with a sense that I’d wasted my time. I long to harness my creativity and feel that sense of child like freedom I once found within art. For now, I watch others do just that.

I wrestle with extreme self-criticism. When it comes to art, I've found that one thing that helps is to forget the structures I've been taught that will limit me and any of my thoughts of having a "good" idea before beginning. Start with a mistake and keep fixing and changing and creating until you've reached your destination.

If you like to try again, just doodle! Scribble and play! Mabye if you manage to have fun without expectations , you can pick up The joy and evolve from there. And don’t show it to or speak about it! Just keep it for yourself as a secred pleasure👍 I hope it will help you❤️🌹

@@alexandrajoelle2926 Hey, I feel the same way. In fact for the last 2 years I have put off my own art! I felt inadequate and afraid to make more. Instead I concentrated on developing different Art journals (some I created myself, others are purchased with my own touches added. I decided on 2 and have been planning, making & gathering different papers I have dyed with coffee and tea and unsugared Koolaide. Also many gorgeous scrapbook papers that will enhance my subjects. One is a journal on a Special Forest and the the other is about magic and esp fairies. I have several small paintings I want to add too. But unless I am painting, I don't feel artistic. I don't know why I had my hiatus because I missed the heck out of my art. Faces, flowers, landscapes are my favorites. BUT, in listening to Wendy's videos, I feel I have overcome my silly, untrue fears. All I had to do to top it off was to go thru my file of my art pieces I keep, and wow, I do have it. Guess it just wanted to play hide and seek in these uncertain times (more so 2 yrs ago than now). Remember, just close your eyes and things will change--hopefully for the better. XOXOJane

Hi Wendy Just to say how much I always enjoy your videos and all you share with us from your heart. I hear about imposing restrictions on yourself... I did the same thing for similar reasons and feel the shift too as things open up. So glad you feel ready to step out in the world again...It's time for us all to live our very best most shiny bright lives and share our joy with others. I am a tree hugger too and that is where I found most support during the toughest times, in the woods here in Canada in the deep snow. Your art and your joyful exploration is so uplifting and inspirational. Loving your new pieces in the pots especially. I know the perfect place for you and James is out there. When it's time it will find you. Have a magical week ahead. Blessings bright light.

Love your Gallery wall looks lovely and I so agree I have photos of all my work set in special files so I can look at in new place no Gallery wall though can not do unfortunately , om my site though I have my paintings in collections and I have paintings from over the years so is kinda Kool to look at them and see where I was and where I am today. wanted to share with you when we had to find a place I just asked the Angels for help , I asked for a studio room and yard and other things as we have to be clear :) when we put it out and ask so if you visualize exactly what you want in your place the space the light and Then ask for it ,I know the Angels will find it for you and The fairy's too will help we just have to ask and then let them do their work and know that it is and when the right time is it will be there for you hon. I am so happy to see you today , is always a bright spot in my day coming and visiting with you. much love to you and James . I love the Place the Angels found for me and am so happy here gardening in going to be so kool as is a blank slate here to add what we wish and My Fairy Garden will be new here ,I have pictures on Facebook of my fairy gardens I have created and Fairy houses I have made. till next week dear .
