Thanks, as always for watching & keeping me company on this wild journey we call life! Biggest loves & softest hugs, Wendy. Xxx

I discovered your videos during a very dark, painful and isolated time in my life, and without going in to too much personal detail, they carried me through one of the hardest periods I've ever faced, kept me feeding the creative fire to keep it alive even when it was only a tiny spark, and are gently easing my return into making art again. You have more impact than you know, on more people than you know. You've carried so many us through our fatigue and creative blocks without even realizing it, so take your time with the same self-care you inspire in others. Thanks for sharing so much of yourself, and for being here for those of us, and I'm glad you are feeling better!

Dear Lizzy, I understand you so well. I discovered - better:this channel came to me - nearly two years ago now in the hardest time of my life. I was just looking for some entertainment to forget my grief for a moment and to improve my English a little bit. Now Wendy and James are like dear friends to me and I like to read the comments of this incredibly supportive community. I learned that journaling really heals and what fairies are all about... Wellcome to the community. I hope that you have better times now. ❤️Emma

Actually had a breakthrough on my health issues, all along I felt like I needed to trust myself! Now that I know that my health professionals were on the wrong track, I feel like a heavy weight is off both my body and soul! While others were encouraging me to take medications that potentially cause serious side effects, I determined to not take them until tests showed I truly had the diagnosis! The problem turned out to be relatively easy to treat with no medication necessary! So thankful for you and the way you teach us to listen to ourselves and take care of ourselves! 🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️Blessed and safe days!

I appreciate your “Wendy waffles” though x I’ve probably said this before, but incase I haven’t… your vids always make me feel positive. Some of them hold really good advice and some are reminders and nudges towards those things I know already, but am resisting, for whatever reason. But wherever they take me, it’s enough for me to know that there are people like you and James in the world. ✨🙏🧚🏻✨🌻

@healing hArt, when you feel ready to encounter and work through whatever you’re resisting, you will know the time is right to do so. Perhaps you’ve already been working through other challenges in life, so the sticky bits are just patiently waiting for the right moments to be processed. It’s OK to be gentle with yourself, and to experience the positive vibes others put out there, I’ve read some of your other comments on this channel in the past, and notice that I feel more positive by your words too. It helps me to know that there are indeed others besides myself who want to feel encouraged and uplifted and inspired to do good things to help others while we help ourselves. Thanks!

This is Sunday morning here as I watch your beautiful face… I loved your entry with the trees and a walk, then into your studio. Light look cool and I bought some fairy lights to hang in my studio . Lists have not been something I’ve done in a long time but maybe I should…. Spent time this week on a journal page and began another, but also worked in my courtyard. You do not need to apologize as you’ve been poorly so all in good time dear Wendy. You are such a delight my friend. I love your nook. Your new fairies are delightful. Just take your time and do not rush… your health is more important. I absolutely love your videos, Wendy Waffles are fine too. By the way the skylight with the blue skies is gorgeous… wish I could have one myself. Your plants look so healthy. I think James’s plants need to stay with you… Thank you for sharing your day with me/us. Loved the light filtered through the trees and the lovely daisies. Have a fabulous week and keep your light shining bright and sunny. Sending you softest hugs and love from me to you Wendy. Best to James too. 💐🌼🍀🌸🧚‍♀️😇🤗😘✨❤️

Wendy - thank you ❤ you make me smile. You're a great inspiration for me. Life does indeed have its ups and downs. When one is not feeling 100%, be it mentally or physically, just small mundane tasks are so very difficult to do. I'm on my 'golden road' to recovery and starting to get my creative mojo back. You as a person and your heart warming videos are so good for so many people. I'm so happy you are feeling tons better too Wendy. Continue with your 'self care' and I look forward to your next vid. Peace and love ❤.

I went through a short period of feeling unwell (and yes, brain-fog set in as well) but I managed to keep somewhat creative. I asked myself (without any guilt whatever), "Is there anything I really feel like doing?" And there was, so I switched projects for a while and that managed to keep me going (low-key) so I didn't completely stop being creative. I am back to my 'normal' self now. I have learned I have to be gentle with myself and stay away from feeling guilty about what I have to do for self-care.

I've been going through that, too. It's so annoying. I'm a writer and have had a difficult time doing blog posts, articles and fiction projects. I've made my writing coach frustrated, as well. LOL I'd always been ambitious and self-directed. Not the last year or so. What has helped has been doing more of my other creative projects, such as playing ukulele, knitting, embroidery, drawing/watercolor, and started an art journal. All the best!

So glad you are feeling better and are easing yourself back into things. My husband is very sick with a heart condition and his care has increased a lot recently. Watching your videos helps to remind me that my health is important, too, and I need to pace myself while giving him care. I have not had much time or energy for really doing much creatively and I feel the drain it's causing. We are so busy with doctors appointments and therapies, I'm exhausted by days end. I look at the pain and discomfort he is in and my heart breaks into a million pieces every time. All this to say you are an inspiration and I'm so glad I found you! Be well!❤️

You have been helping me rekindle the fire of self discovery in my art outside of the world's pressures. Thank you so much Wendy for all your art journaling videos in particular. Each upload is a joy! RE: "No reason to feel down:" I learned that when we are feeling down for no logical reason after an injury or illness, it's likely our body trying to depress us to protect us. So that we stay in bed and rest instead of pushing ourselves like we often want to. This is common with concussions especially. Just a little tidbit for anyone who may be feeling this also. 💞

Thanks again for the great tips and more inspiration! As a professional artist/former retired NYC fashion illustrator/floral designer and now painter, how well do I know what it's like to get creative blocks! I also raised three daughters and partially raised my oldest granddaughter, age 23 so I had my hands full. My youngest granddaughter age 14 now is also a very talented artist and wants to be a cartoonist. Getting into nature really helps and yes, sleep is so important because that's when the body/mind and spirit heals. I also have a mild form of MS and am blind in one eye so I have to contend with that on a daily basis. Found that the "Grounding mat" works wonders, gives one energy, calming and helps with sleep and helps to eliminate any pain i.e. inflammation. Watch the fabulous documentaries on KZbin about it "EARTHING" and "The Grounded"! I've also found out that inspiration from famous artists from the past like Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh, helps a lot. Van Gogh is famous for his great inspirational quotes and Monet got blocked a lot because of family deaths, his two wives and his oldest son from an illness! And he suffered from deep depression as well because he was also going blind as he got older from his smoking which causes cataracts! So they're both with me in spirit as well. Keep well and keep the faith, "This too shall pass away" is what we should remember when we get blocked! We all need to recharge our batteries from time to time and my art teacher told me decades ago, "get away from your work" to take a break but to get a better perspective on your painting/drawings! I'm busy painting gardens and figurative paintings like the pre-Raphaelites in my own style and did some preliminary sketches for near future paintings! Best of luck to you and to everyone here in all their creative endeavors! Cheers~

Also sympathise with you about noisy neighbours. We moved last year from a house next to a very busy road where there was daily road rage. We have been very lucky to find a new home in the country away from human noise and it has been so amazing. The peace helps with healing. Hope you find your flow soon 😊

Dear Wendy, Just a little window into my menopause experience. From 47-57 I had a fairly torrid time of heavy bleeding, extreme anxiety and lethargy. Since my periods finished at 55 I have slowly recovered and had my second spring from 57 to current time at 61. I feel happy and healthy, myself again!! The only adjustment was that my energy levels have never returned to my pre-menopause levels but I have embraced this change and love the slower and more deliberate life I lead. I hope my story will give hope during dark days. Love and sunshine. Michelle.

Dear Wendy, I absolutely agree ans have experienced the restfulness and peace after showing up and taking one step toward my dream. I stayed up one night (much too late, but in the zone) and accomplished a lot more than I thought I could. I have been resting much more deeply lately, and I’ve noticed that my sad moods aren’t as frequent. It’s as if our dream floats in us and eats away at us until we release it and become brave enough to take a step. I definitely needed to hear this. I can’t let myself slack off again! ❤ big hugs!

I Don't have a style, meaning I change frequently the how and why depending on what I'm wanting to do. Whimsical to more serious. I often hear that you should stick with one style. Have you thought of reproducing your little fairy book ? I'm sure lots of people would love to have a copy to have as little reminder to keep them going as you have done.

Wow how did you know?! It feels like that at least. I have been ill for two+ years and am now coming out from under the cloud somewhat just to find out I have another issue that I was not expecting and I am finding it a bit difficult to get into my art like I want to. I am having little sports of artist inspiration and then just loose the flow. I know it is because of the other issues in my life and I am trying to rest in trust but find myself digging for more info instead. Thank you for your sharing today. I am going to test today.

I finally have asked for help with an ongoing medical problem and found the medical staff were feeling overwhelmed too! So I have temporarily employed a cleaner so that I have a few clean areas and I can sit and art without guilt while I recover and learn the procedures that have been thrust on me!

Pleased you are feeling better, I am also going over or climbing up a mountain ⛰ at the moment, every day I hope I have reached the top and that my creativity will comeback the next morning, I made some small steps in the right direction, but not had the motivation to edit these movements in to anything… but I am taking wisdom for you and others and doing what ever I can, even if it’s baby steps. I might just upload my in edited video this week . We shall see.

I hope you won’t mind, Wendy, that your little Action Fairy came calling recently. I tried to send her back across the pond to you, but she’s tarried here long enough that she’s become a bit fussy with me, for not giving her the attention she requires. Therefore, today, I’ve let her know that she shall be free to fly home to you on the Full Moon, for by then, I will have had my tidy-up and done the action thing that she’s called me to do. Thank you for sharing her with me for these past few weeks. Once she’s back with you, I’m sure you’ll be feeling fab and creating all sorts of magical new art. By the way, I do realize my silliness this moment. Play is always ok 🥰

Don't feel bad Wendy girl, recovery takes time and energy so now slowly (unfortunately) is the word and don't be hard on yourself. Besides, you're very very good about setting goals for yourself with art, mailings, and errands. I make a mental note about when to get up, what project will I work on, and any appointments I have. But, they don't get done sometimes, so I get frustrated at myself. It's a cycle I'm working on nearly daily. I think I'm getting better about not feeling so frustrated, but it still happens though less now. My Chris is helping me with everything lately cuz I am now the proud (?) owner of a new hip. I am only 3 weeks post-op and this recovery is so hard. I have to look at my progress rather than having a negative attitude. I think you work hard at balancing your life and do it exceedingly well. I so very dearly love your fairy girls. The latest, I think--the one you were working on (or reworking) is such an adorable little Fairy. In fact I think she looks remarkably like you! I read some of your comments too and seems to me as if we're all cheering you upwards and back to feeling like your active Wendy. We all love you and your channel and I personally am excited about seeing more fairies as I am wild about everything fairy from the magical ones I barely see glimpses of on my forest walks (now curtailed during my recovery), but it's a great motivation for me to get back to; to my own little fairies I have here in my studio. This may sound crazy, but a way of cheering me up is to watch a few vids on, of all things, hedgehogs! They are mostly sweet, adorable, and so funny to watch. With little spindly limbs, a cute face, and yes, quills! I find them so endearing. Try it, Wendy. They make me smile and giggle. XOXOJane 🧚‍♀️🦔🧚‍♀️

Hello dear Wendy... I'm writing to you from Chile. I used to watch your videos, but yesterday I listen to this one and it gave me the opportunity to analized my attitude on painting and drawing. For long time I felt stuck on my work. But now I'm going to follow some of your ideas. Thank you very much for your help 🙂

You showed up, you got work (happy mail checked off) done, you share tea with us, a new fairy is waking up on the page, your plant babies are singing with joy! When trying to recover from poor health, so many of us tend to push too hard, too fast. I was given the advice of twenty minutes to find balance - 20 minutes work, 20 rest, and 20 play per hour, to get through the day without overdoing, and feel virtuous about working, AND about self-care and rest. And when trying to find creativity, when your own muse falls silent, I have always found it helpful to think about what my muse might be doing (is your fairy making the flowers bloom in the studio for you? Or could it be that she's meeting up with all the others enjoying the dance of spring?). You are a muse, an inspiration to many of us - please celebrate that along with the gift of each new day! Thanks for sharing spring and flowers (heading toward winter in the southern hemisphere). Much love and light and big squishy hugs.

Wendy, I too get things done including creativity in the morning. Never night time although i have an artist friend who “comes alive” at 11 pm !!! lol o. I need a list , its also satisfying to get through it. I also am a big fan of Mel Robbins, the 5 second rule. It really works. Sending love and hugs.
