Your house is my version of clean in my house before you even start. I have five kids and when you get one room clean, by the time the next is clean the first one is messy again. I wish I had your motivation and happy mindset. I get overwhelmed and discouraged so easily.

Hey Allana. I know the feeling but one thing that made things easier for me was when I started including the kids in the cleaning, mines are 9 boy, 5 girl and 2,5 girl. I'm not sure how the bigger kids will take this but what I found with my small kids was that including them in the chores not only teaches them responsibility for themselves and where they live but also making things a lot easier for you, the smaller actually get excited for it, whereas it might be a bit of a problem for teenagers but you won't know until you try, it will basically depend on their temperament. Don't worry, i am also always overwhelmed and I am always giving up, it's okay, it's your house and you are the queen, you don't have to do anything, if you don't want to. You have absolutely no obligation to fulfill to anyone, I think you are being too hard on yourself.

My family actually ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from a chef. That along with my housekeeper took two huge burdens off of my shoulders. I work long hours so I encourage everyone to work smarter not harder (also support small black businesses...my sister owns a cleaning company)
