i love how u make videos of deep dives into the modules in your rack instead of videos with all the latest and greatest modules and encouraging GAS and consumerism lol. and your music is mind blowing so you're definitely doing something right.

well, there is still about $4,000 of music equipment on that table but I agree with your sentiment

Thank you! I'm currently learning to drive so have no money for gear atm haha! But I do feel like i know my set-up very well now, and that can only happen when you spend a lot of time deep diving into your modules :)

i bought a bunch of old 1 euro records a while ago and i've been putting them through Beads using the techniques you've laid out here, and i've never had so much fun making music. thank you!

That’s a great idea! Might give it a try with some cassette tapes :)

To clarify - Beads is Freezing a sample of incoming audio, and you're using 1v/Oct to control the pitch of the processed granular sample, yes? If I'm hearing that correctly, then that's the most fucking brilliant application I have seen for Beads. I've watched probably over 100 videos of this module and have never seen anyone use it like this. I'm blown away.

still the best modular videos on KZbin right now, cheers

Pitching out into time instead of v/oct was a brilliant idea. I'm gonna try that. Your videos on Rings and Beads are like nobody else's.

Could you uncover the audio and cv routings in a video or point us to it? OP1, keystep, Pam’s, VCA, Z5000, Beads, FX Aid….. ( 👁👁 ) Beads sounds cool, even cooler knowing what mods/routing is necessary to get the desired results, which is well done!!! ❤️
@TheUnperson2 жыл бұрын
I will be doing a video soon talking about a recent live set so will go through the routings a bit then. Generally it's pretty linear tho... I go into the pico input and the audio goes from left to right from there. I use pam's to clock everything (beads, data bender, maths), and if i'm using the keystep it's normally just pitch out to pitch in on Beads. :)

This is both inspiring and instructive. Really good! Is it the lofi junky effect on your fx aid at the end? (and from time to time in the video)
@TheUnperson2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I think the fx aid algorithm is called Generation Lost. I prefer it to the lofi junky one because it's got a bit crusher and a DJ filter as well as wobble :D
