Was after a big bull here in WA state and I thought I was gonna get the chance to haul all my kids out to go find him after I arrow him. Turns out, luck was on his side. Called him into less than 15yds with my wife right next to me and let one fly. He was behind some thin brush which I thought I could squeeze one through but turns out I couldn’t. Arrow deflected and that was the last of him. Had 4 different opportunities with this bull but it just didn’t work out, unfortunately. Loved it when your kids went out there with you to get that buck. Hoping the winter isn’t as bad this year so I could get out to a late season unit for whitetail. Will be sitting in a saddle for the first time. Good hunting, fellas!
