Located in far eastern Kyrgyzstan is a small, idyllic valley just opening to tourism. Arrive in the summer, and the Jyrgalan Valley greets you with lush, verdant mountains lit by bright sunshine and cooled with fresh mountain air - the perfect place for trekking adventures. As the seasons change, the valley transforms into a rich winter landscape surrounded by high mountain peaks and deep, powdery snow - optimal conditions for freeride skiing. Throughout the year, no matter when you book a stay, residents invite you to immerse in Kyrgyz hospitality and cultural traditions preserved for generations
When Kyrgyzstan was still part of the Soviet Union, Jyrgalan was a coal-mining town and its economy depended on the mines. The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 and the Russian mine owners pulled out. Slowly the village began to die.
Then in 2016, a group of people, with the help of USAID Funds, began Destination Jyrgalan. The assistance they received included tourism and guide training, upgrade of town infrastructure, and renovations of homes into guesthouses.
The result is Destination Jyrgalan. A community based tourism organization that has set up a number of exciting hiking trails, horse back riding routes and mountain biking paths. In addition, there is also a network of excellent homestays that makes Jyrgalan a very welcoming outdoors paradise

There are multiple companies in Bishkek. You can check out the reviews and shortlist accordingly. IDP is required. I found the country very safe
