Hey, I ended up picking up Ultra as well! I recorded a lot of netplay matches, but they were all over wireless and I just felt bad about it. I did post a video of myself getting hit by a raging demon, though. I think my favorite AI is a tie between Championship Edition and World Warrior. Once I learned how to play Street Fighter against others, the CPU became really enjoyable to "solve." All your skills as a player sort of reveal all the cool ideas that the computer opponents have programmed into them. I like how you can make Guile always whiff Flash Kicks if you do a dragon punch. I was speaking with someone on some other part of the internet and they were talking about how arcade mode is outdated, and it's videos like these that keep me motivated about what I grew to appreciate about fighting games.

I played a little bit of SFII on SNES, and then a LOT of SFII: Turbo on SNES, meanwhile once a month I'd get to go to the arcade and and it was mostly Champion Edition everyone was playing up there. Then Super SFII came out and it was cool having new characters, stages, music, sounds, and touched up visuals, I played a good bit on the home version. Then when Super Turbo came out it was the only thing to play at the arcades. After that the Alpha versions came along and my first reaction was that it was a bit too different, but it didn't take me long to fall in love with the Alphas.. I probably spent more time playing Alpha 3 at home on the PlayStation and the Dreamcast against my friends than any other game except maybe Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. Then the street SF the Movie game came out and we all had a bit of a laugh playing that version for about a week, then the EX 3D versions we tried for about a week or two, they were kind of cool for their time, but it didn't feel right in 3D like Tekken, then SFIII came out and it just wasn't my cup of tea.. I could never get into SFIII for some reason. I had the collection and collection 2 versions and played them a ton, but not as much as Alpha 3. I actually missed Hyper SFII the Anniversary Edition all together because they weren't marketing it properly where I live, which sucks because that would've been right up my alley, I think it's the best classic version since it provides the full classic experience. When HD remix came out I loved it, spent a lot of time playing others online, my first time playing others online in a street fighter game which was nice since the arcade days are gone. I liked SFIV and its variations, but not SFV as it seemed like SFIV but with less content. That Nintendo Switch version looks amazing..might have to get one of those..

Why did the loading times not bother me on SF collection? Cos I literally forgot till I saw this. Rose tinted glasses etc. Also, anyone else remember getting street fighter pogs and stuff in lucky bags???

I would have to say even though I like turbo and super street fighter II on snes, I would say ultra street fighter II is my deffinitive version. Why? Because it has the following: Better and more balanced gameplay, color costume editing mode, has an option to play classic snes or hd remix graphics/ sounds, dramatic battle mode, evil ryu, violent ken and akuma are all playable.

Great video. I love it when you point out and compare all the different versions and differences between each one, I really think it's one of the things you do best. As for the loading times on the Capcom Classics Collection on the PS2, all 3 SF2 games on this collection were direct ports of the PS1 versions (from Street Fighter Collection 2). All they did was cut the loading times and give it the new style menu, that's why the short loading text still appears. Capcom were lazy for this one. As for my definitive version of SF2, definitely Hyper SF2 The Anniversary Edition on the PS2. I really liked that you could choose the CPS1 and Remixed BGM music for it as well. I just wished that they added the World Warrior and Champion Edition backgrounds in this, as well as the ability to fight against non-SSF2T mode CPU characters. Oh well...
