this tournament actually happen in the course of a day or two. Smack n Bow just change clothes per battle. they're best prepared for their first battle because they know who they have ahead of time. without knowing exactly who MIGHT advance, they dont prepare too many personals. they have to use pre prepared bars they can use against anyone and make LAST MINUTE edits to their rounds.

In a uff platform I feel your performance needs to be A1 to win especially having judges like this that probably never watch these battles. Listen, complexity doesn't make a bar/verse hot, nor does the lack of complexity make a bar/verse whack. You can spit complex bars and still be whack and you can spit simplistic bars and make them sound hot. Biggie was never really that complex. He just knew how to paint a picture with simplistic bars and words, but made them hot by how he said them and how he put them together. Brizz's bars may have been more simplistic, but he crammed a lot of those simplistic words into the same bar/scheme and presented them with great performance. I hate the judging on this shit. Most of the judges aren't even real battle rap heads, but on there because SMACK is trying to advertise with important names in the industry. You can tell because they only react when other people do. I like Brizz, but I got Anubis winning 2-1 because his first round wasn't as good. Most of the people there were either bias or didn't get Anubis' complex bars so the floated towards Brizz simple, but more animated bars. "You go down and I wolf out mid fight.....Bloody Roar" -Anubis and no crowd reaction, but then next round "You from the Underworld good I bought Lycans with me" -Brizz and he gets crowd reaction. I guess its smart to simplify your bars and lean more towards performance when your not in front a real battle head crowd. Good battle either way

MrMalcolm900 I respect your opinion, but I think lyrically, Anubis' bars were way more complex than Brizz's. Me personally, if I were battling, I would want battle rappers judging my battles. I think it's really easy to lose on stage when you have complex bars, but then win on camera easily after people have had time to decipher them. I figure if bar gods like Daylyt, JC, B Magic, or Charlie Clips can't get my bars then I deserve to lose. Judging can't be based off crowd reaction because its pretty easy to tell a simple joke and make people laugh rather than actually showcase skill in complexity. If you look at JJDD's head and face after Anubis says a tough bar that basically went over everyone's head then that's kinda my main point in why they should have battle rappers judge. I take nothing away from Brizz though because he's nice.

Pablo Escobar I understand your point but what you need to understand is to show case true talent you don't always have to be complex, I have seen complex battle rappers that can spit some shit that actually makes no sense what so ever no matter how to interpret it. I think sometimes we as battle rap fans completely ignore that performance and crowd control as well as stage presence is a talent in and of itself.....not just lyricism. Its not a smart idea to have a battle rapper come on national tv spitting a whole bunch of complex bars, because the average viewing fan (that most likely ain't a battle rap fan) is not going to get what they are saying, then the battle becomes boring to them. You have to appeal to the interest of the celebs who are judging the battle, as well to the people at home who are watching it......the whole (making battle rappers judge my battle thing) is cool and all, but at the end of the day I would prefer people like the Royce Da 5'9s, Lloyd Banks, Young Bucks, Bow Wows and others to judge my battles because they have pull in the industry vs a battle rapper who doesn't........plus for the TTop vs Saga battle they had Lux and Mook two prominent battlers which is good enough
