This video explains the thevenin theorem basics and teaches how to solve a circuit using Thevenin Theorem.
The concept of Thevenin definition, thevenin equivalent resistance, thevenin voltage and Thevenin equivalent circuit has been explained in details.
This video lecture on Thevenin's Theorem problem solving explains the thevenin theorem step by step.
Thevenin's Theorem is very important theorem of network analysis and is widely used in solving Complex circuits.

l thought if we remove the load resistor those resistors will be in series since no current is flowing through. besides resistor 5 and 15 are in series

I had a confusion that 5 and 15 ohms are in series not in parallel can you explain this?
@thusharanup4906
@thusharanup4906 2 жыл бұрын
They need to share the same 2 nodes to be parallel, there is another resistor in the way, it divides the current
@priyanshugupta4328
@priyanshugupta4328 2 жыл бұрын
since 5 and 15 ohms are connected to the same points or nodes , it can be known as parallel
@zepaduse97
@zepaduse97 Жыл бұрын
@@thusharanup4906 that doesn't make sense though; because if the resistor 10 ohms is open circuited(Due to it being the first thing you do when you begin a thevenin's equivalence problem.) then that would mean no current or voltage goes through there. Therefore, the 5 ohms and 15 ohms resistors should now be in series with each other as nothing is obstructing it.
@jayn8392
@jayn8392 10 ай бұрын
@@zepaduse97 It’s shorted not open, if it was open there would be no current. Shorting them is like connected them to the same wire, then they would be in parallel as he explained. Quite a good explanation actually. As an instrumentation and electronic engineering tech student I have heard much worse. It’s a weird concept. I have had some test and homework questions that were damn near impossible to figure out, like a like a resistor network that is a big triangle made a like 10 other resistors in triangle formations with a few strays before and after the vs. look up something like “crazy resistor redraws” if you want to see some serious weirdness.
