Before The Villages were developed I could drive from my house in the old section of Winter Springs, FL to Gainesville, FL on Rt. 441 in just two hours. Now it takes two and half hours to drive the same route. So many more traffic lights have been installed over the total distance of the drive. The area of The Villages has lowered the speed limit on Rt. 441 and the old folks tend to drive even slower than the speed limit.

No place to store a boat and the lake is relative I guess to what you are used to... I think it is a good size lake but overly big. You can ski comfortably on it... good fishing. But not like any of the Chain Of Lakes in the area.
