This mission is really easy if you know how to do that - I attacked their town center and then almost whole army ( from city )came out and defeated them

There is actually an easy way to defeat Burgundy in hard mode. I had 60 military when I reached the cyan castle. Use your trebuchets to cut the trees just the south of the Burgundy army (the area where you see four longbowmans and an onager). You can then cut another thin layer of trees so that you can reach the right side of the wall of cyan. Turn diplomatic stance of cyan to neutral, break the walls and go in. Then use one unit to aggro the Burgundy attack (trigger when the Burgundy light cavalry sees you), this will also activate enemy stance between cyan and purple. Then the cyan army, his castle and towers will help you to fight. It's quite easy to beat purple in this way, just use bombard cannons to snipe purple's onager and it should be very straight forward.

HINT: If you don't enter Paris from where Viper enter, and just follow the wall to the left until you are near the area where you were supposed to go, you won't have to fight a lot, just a few units... and a castle, but you have trebs and bombards, doesn't matter. It's a pretty easy mission if you do it right :) When fighting Burgundy post your troops at the north gate of Paris (make a bottleneck) and gebate with the scout the Burgundy army. Their number won't matter.

It helps at the start if you keep some of your paladins off towards the left and then attack the walls with your bombards with your pikes/archers guarding them. The longbows come out and you pull back a bit, then bring your paladins inbetween the longbows and the city, the longbows flee towards the rest of your army, get sandwiched between them and die easy XD. The AI doesn't know how to use the cover capabiltiies of its fortifications so theyre easy to bait out into vulnerable positions, then surround and destroy :D

The wonder he destroyes later is Aachen Cathedral and used to be the english wonder in aoe2 actually it was build by charlemange so they changed it to Chichester Cathedral in definite edition.

In the 1997-1999 original version your hero units don't regenerate health and there's a lot more enemy, plus you can't treb down the trees. I think if you played that scenario you wouldn't have gotten it on your first try...

After getting the Man at Arms army, you can treb the right side wall and just not deal with the enemy halbs too.

I think this mission is a lot easier if instead of going through the front gates you sneek around the west side and take out the two side castles before going through the back gates close to the vills. This allows you to 1) take out longbowman production, 2) avoid the kill zone just after the main gate with longbowman hitting from all sides, 3) take a head on fight vs the army at the back BEFORE reaching the villagers so they do not get in the line of fire.

Just FYI pretty sure the AI doesn't make military units in this scenario everything you face is spawned at the start and only triggers when you attack nearby buildings or get too close. Best way I found to do it was sneak through the west then micro down the galleys along the sea with your bombards and then it's pretty easy going from there. Avoids most of the longbowman that are placed around the city.
