Hi, thanks for this excellent video. Just want to add a few points based on my experience: don't sign or paste your picture on the application form, they'll give another version of the form after verifying all docs at the vfs center; there's a Xerox machine available at center also (expensive obviously). Also, I could pay via card but yeah it's better to keep cash handy just in case

Hello I am preparing to apply for my first Schengen Visa, itinerary planned : Switzerland -> Germany -> France -> Switzerland. I am visiting my Family and Friends in all the places, kindly helps with the following: 1) Type of visa - tourist or visitor? 2) What details do I need to provide for each stay - is address enough? 3) How to check VFS dates before applying? 4) In case I may want to visit places not already planned and mentioned in my cover letter (eg amsterdam/netherlands) will that be allowed or is it an issue? 5) How much bank balance should I show for a 4 week trip? The info given at 2.50 min is not correct. You have to apply to country where you will be staying for the maximum no of nights. If 2 countries have the same number of days then you have to apply to the embassy where you will enter first.

The first criteria is the max no of days if there is a tie between 2 countries then you got to apply from the country you enter first. 👍

I have one question - We are planning Europe trip starting from Greece, Croatia, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands. We are going to stay maximum in Italy but we want to start with Greece(landing port) for our trip. So is it ok if I apply from Greece for Schengen visa ? Or should I apply in Italy embassy ? As you are staying maximum in Italy and starting with greece, you can choose any of the country embassy based on the embassy appointment availability and visa success/rejection rate

Hey yes you need to provide the passport on your appointment date. Make sure you are providing a proper cover letter detailing out your work and tourism. If its a business visa you will require documents as in your invite letter, cover letter on company letter head and support letter.

i am sorry but passport assurance is useful if you have to bear hard cancellation charges of airlines for your trip in case of lost passport. And they are bound to give 500$ for the same so it will cover a lot of damage.

Regarding NOC (Leave Sanction Letter) from Company the HR said they will provide it via email with an electronic signature which I can print out and then get a stamp (seal) on the letter. Hey, It’s definitely not impossible but yes its hard to get unless its a business visa. So if possible try to cover few south asian countries if possible and then apply with all required geniune documents

Hey Antara, yes you need a airport transit visa , rules will vary with country to country and duration at the airport. eg: some countries don’t ask for any visa if its within 12 hrs like Riyadh. Hi Anu. 1 important Q. Regarding Employment Proof, I had a word with HR of my company, they said they have a format for the NOC for leave with the dates, but they cant provide hardcopy. They said they can give me soft copy through email and it will have company stamp, I can print it out and use. Will it work? Im unsure if a print of the doc will work or do I need to print it out and have company stamp and sign. In general do I need hardcopy of the docs for the appointment? If so which ones need to be hardcopy with stamp/sign?

Hi, in that case I will recommend you to change the stay bookings of france and make it 7 number of days, greater than italy. Once your visa is approved, you can make the changes afterwards as per your itinerary

You have to visit VFS centre, not in delhi but you can find the nearest one in MP too. They have centres in most of the states and yes you have to physically visit there

Pt 30 as i will visit paris first for 5 days and switzerland 13 days (9 in interlaken and 4 in zurich) then shall i write only interlaken hotel name as space is a constraint and my visa would b for switzerland bcz of max days Pt 32 as I'll go with my family where I'll reimburse and sponsored their trip what shall we tick then (already booked accomodation and flight).

Agr apko 7 din ka mila hai to 7 hi din ke andar apko wapis India ana hoga. Apki visa ki validity date ki range likhi rehti hai to ap wo check krlijiye. Usi duration mai ap jaa sakte . 7 din ke visa mai 7 hi din reh sakte
