Hello DESi Couple , luckily my Visa’s were never rejected … but I have a lot of Schengen stories , like once I was waiting for my Visa in 2018 and didn’t get visa till the day before . Then I called a friend and he told me that did I attend the interview , which I didn’t get to know . Luckily at 10.30 Pm I booked the slot for next day at 11am . Went to embassy , this was a kind South Indian gentlemen in The Netherlands Embassy , he understood the situation … went to Visa councillor and asked me to wait till lunch and it will be done . I went back to office @12.30 and got a call from the embassy that I can collect the visa at 5 from VFS . I wasn’t actually hopeful but miracle happened , Around 2 in night I was in Etihad airways for Amsterdam .

@@abhinavs38 in 2019 , I applied for all my family member’s Schengen visa from Netherland, since I was late in applying … I waited for couple of days and then went directly to Netherland embassy , where this Indian lady in Embassy asked us to go back , without even hearing my problem . By that time we have invested in everything , this was our plan for 5 European countries , every penny wasted ☹️

In My visa application the stay was provided for all days except last 2 days. The entire stay except last 2 days was all airbnb booked which was cancellable at the very last day. I should have booked any room and should not have missed 2 days just because I was not liking the room. This might be the first reason for my visa rejection. The second reason , I feel is, not having the required amount for 6 months in the bank account. I transferred amounts just a month ago before the appointment. Otherwise the travel itinerary, flight tickets, my inter country train journey tickets, my disney land ticket, Eiffel tower entry ticket, swiss travel pass, my company salary slips, bank statement, company domicile certificate, company leave approval document, cover letter were good. The rejected visa and cancelled trip of-course caused a lot pain but having non cancellable flights tickets caused hole in the pocket too. Hence after rejection I had to bear very high flight cancellation fees. It was really disheartening. This could’ve been avoided easily by having return flight tickets with cancellation policy. In such cases having dummy tickets is life. Saviour. Please have dummy tickets, book all days stay even though you are not liking the rooms for visa application, have money for 6 months in your accounts, even if you are not getting any returns by keeping the money in bank compared to investing in MF or Stocks. It hurts later when visa gets rejected and you feel that could be the reason. The the last but not the least, apply visa application where you are staying for more days, irrespective of your entry country.

Hi, recently I experienced a situation similar to what you mentioned in your video, specifically regarding employment proof. I applied for a Schengen visa to visit my husband, who is working in Belgium. Unfortunately, I forgot to submit a few documents as proof, such as employment payslips. However, I did submit my bank account details and all the other required documents at the VFS office. I also included a No Objection Certificate (NOC) letter from my employer, but it was written in Hindi. After submitting everything, I received an email from the embassy requesting the missing documents, as mentioned earlier. This time, my husband and I sought the assistance of an authorized translator to translate the noc letter in English ( i don't know the reason but i dont want to take any chance further)and emailed all the requested documents. Finally, after a wait of 40 days, I was granted the visa..The situation was really very difficult to get Visa for me ..at certain point i started to believe that its ok ..im not going to get any visa ..so be prepared for that but finally oh my god i got the visa .....

Just applied yesterday , Awaiting the decision. While watching the video - noted a point that my wife's signature in the form as per passport is different from the one which she is currently using. Her name in the passport is her maiden name. Whereas her Aadhar / Bank / PAN etc are all now in the Married name. We have submitted Marriage Certificate / Aadhar etc where this point is mentioned though.

One of reasons is applying with the country which is not your main destination. I applied with the country of my first entry in the Schengen area. And it was rejected since I was spending one less night in this country than the other country in my itinerary. Just one night.

I have heard cases where ppl change itinerary to get visa appointment and then change it again before travel. In this case it's up to the immigration officer and your luck.

I am not surprised if some foreign country rejects a visa application because the information is incomplete or not accurate. For Indians living abroad, they make such a big fuss when applying for OCI. My mum's name is Shagun but on my old Indian passport which is no longer valid, u looks like o because it was written by hand. So the Indian lady at the visa office told me that I should spell her name Shagon on the OCI application. She said that she will accept the application only if I spell it incorrectly. I did not want to spell her name wrong and so I decided not to apply.

Hey! This is a very informative video. I have an upcoming travel planned where I am staying for maximum days in spain but my first entry is from France. As per the Schenegan rule, I should apply visa from Spain but the BLS intl recommended to have first entry from spain only as the immigration at france at times asks to travel to Spain and get your entry from there only. Are you aware of this or has anything like this ever happened? Our france hotel stay is non refundable and unfortunately change in itinerary seems costly.

certain trains tickets are better to show, as some long distance or high speed trains requires booking in advance. For example: Paris to Geneva could be with TGV high speed train, so book it in advance, as non reserved passengers not allowed in the whole train. Hotel booking confirmations very very important, during the whole period of stay in Schengen countries.

I applied for schenegen visa from austria and i had original plan of Prague 2days Then vienna 3 days And finnaly budapest 2 days So i applied from Austria as i had the maximum days But my agent changed the itinerary and made vienna(austria) as the first point of arrival and i had no idea about it. i think a good bank balance , your income coming in going out, will be checked...even if you do not have salary slips. I think you have to provide your three or four months of bank statements. Of course a confirmed return plane tickets, all hotel reservation confirmation very very important.

Yes it's completely safe. Make bookings with decent/known hostels or hotels whatever you prefer. Plan your days in Paris from before which anyway you need to show via itinerary for applying for visa (as the video clearly explains). Metros/subways are good and so are taxis. Just be aware of scams and you are good to go. I myself watched megha and saurabhs video on Europe travel from like 2-3 years ago and planned my first solo trip to Paris. It was wonderful. Go for it
