The bit leading up to this is hysterical. You should give it a "watch." He went into Tenor range and the boys weren't having it. haha.

There are videos from the people directly in front of him and it's nuts. You can tell he's shaking the entire place and then the speaker blows.

Tim has blown out a few speakers in the last decade, but none funnier than here in concert. He was doing a song with Peter Hollens called Misty Mountains and hit a really, really low note, and while they were outside filming, the ground and the camera started shaking. Now that's low! Thanks!

Not only the LOVE of HF do we go the 1st time -- because they'll so awesome..... but to see it for ourselves that they are real!!! And boy are they --- totally, truly, phenomenally, exceptionally Amazing!!!! And that's only the tip of the iceberg......... the time goes by so fast and in awe the whole time. Personally can't say that about any other group - no matter the genre! I will go again! Just to experience at least one more time. I don't understand how but ------ better in person!!!

@@rodconner9079 I agree 100%, no other band has so much individual + collective talent! Many don't know they're also amazing arrangers, songwriters & multi-instrumentalists..For example: Adam/insane beatboxer, can play trumpet, bass, guitar, piano/keys & some drums! He used to sit in w/bands sometimes, in their earlier days & sometimes beatbox in clubs, to get experience!! :)

Ya try those notes live anywhere you sit he can vibrate the chairs, the closer you get, he can vibrate your bones. First show sat 3 rows back from the subwoofers, my vision was blurry and my whole body, bones etc vibrated. It is the most insane, bizarre cool feeling. You can watch all the live stuff you want, but to truly understand them and the loyalty of their fans, they have to be experienced live by you.

And actually to tell you the truth I can totally relate to Cody in one way if you don't know anything about him he's actually blind and so am I I just think it's incredible what he can do and Angelica almost died when she was really little and has come a long way I love these two singers because they are Overcomers. Now that you've heard how low he can go, you really need to listen to Home Free's cover of 'Mayday'. Last year, one of the group's founding members left the group (with their blessing) and helped recruit his replacement. Now the new guy is a baritone, but Tim has been teaching him how to sing real low. Their cover of Mayday show's his progress.

heyo i've been watching the mixed voice trilogy (how to sing in the mask) and lip trills dont really work for me but squeaky vocal fry kind of works but i"m not really able to do it correctly is the thing that i have to do it more or just doing something wrong i can kind of transition and it's not tense, larynx stays and the swall muscle is relaxed but it's really quiet, it feels right but is quiet so my question is what to do at this point you awesome bro thanks for evertyhing
@THEVOCALLEXICON
@THEVOCALLEXICON 6 жыл бұрын
Congrats on how far you've come so far. You are not doing anything wrong at all. In fact, you are just beginning to discover the hard mix with the vocal fry, squeaky sound. Singing in the mask is a way of bringing the sound forward so when you go up try making it sound nasal and sort of like annoying, this would begin to help you get in touch with your hard mix. When you go up it's good to keep a sort of closed throat for more control. So to do this just to feel your larynx and then swallow. You will notice how it was pulled up. Try to re-create this next time you go up your range.
