Finally! 14 years old!!! Thanks a lot, I fully agree with your analysis but she doesn't sing like Shakira, Sher. Maybe sometimes . First of all she is Diana. She had a hard childhood but thanks to her foster mother everything has changed for the better! so she can translate the soul of the songs and we can get all wonderful emotions!

Her life story is shattering witch makes her even more superb. She was born may 31st 2013 in far eastern Russia. Father is basically unknown figure. Her biological mother is a troubled creature who had 8 or 12(different info on that) kids and Diana is the only survivor. Diana was abused by her mother and others, for the first three years of her life, than after was dumped at the orphanage. Her "new mother" Irina Ponik was working as a massage therapist at that orphanage and decided to adopt her. At the time of adoption Diana wasn't even speaking. Irina found local vocal school, so they would help Diana learn to speak. Sometime after, teachers noticed her voice and she started to study vocals. Little by little she started to sing at different kids parties, gatherings and things like that. In 2012 family moved to western/central region of Russia city of Tolyatti. In Tolyatti Diana continued her vocal studies at the vocal studio "Melody". In 2016 her mentor Svetlana Vovk and her mother decided to try Diana on Russia "Voice" where she got through preliminary contests and in 2017 got on stage for blind audition of Russia "Voice" with song «Jodel Time» witch in my opinion she nailed it! Unfortunately, my opinion is different from idiotic judges and they did not turn around. She was eliminated from "Voice". In February of 2018 started 2nd season of "You're awesome!" on Russia's NTV tv-channel where Diana performed " Indila's song «Derniere danse». This time all of the judges unanimously picked her.... Everything is going well now and we can enjoy her magnificent voice and tremendous talent.

To add few interesting facts: After all she went trough, one of the judges at the "You're awesome" offered her and her mother a housing in Moscow, so they would stay there and he is promoting her now. The judge is Igor Yakovlevich Krutoy, very famous Russian music composer, performer, producer and musical promoter. All of the costumes/dress made by her mother Irina Ponik out of scratch due to luck of founds. So all of the costumes are actually individualy made for Diana.

Amazing, isn't she? At 14 years old she can outsing and almost anyone on the planet (except maybe Dimash), and the judges don't even want to interrupt her performance, especially knowing that their doing so would get a reaction from the audience that, as in the past, would drown out even her powerful voice for a moment. That's the kind of effect and respect her performances almost always get. And at 18 she was even better. And her new recordings at 18 & 19 are emotionally charged, too. Her dramatic contralto voice is richer than ever, and her upper range has expanded and is also stronger. Her music can be addictive, but what a wonderful drug.

THE VOCAL LEXICON : If you go backwards to when she was 13 her first Russian audition, she got ROBBED!!! None of the judges turned and it caused a major scandal. She got a 5 minute standing ovation from the audience. If you react and wait about halfway through the judges comments on why they didn’t turn. Then they had her perform parts of another song and the lady judge was so ashamed that she covered her face with her arms and later on this same lady felt so guilty she invited Diana to her concert and there is a video of the performance. The following day, 80 million who watched the performance on KZbin spit on the judges. It was revealed that the contest was “ fixed” and they already knew the winner. Payola? You will also want to react to her unbelievable performance of “ Me voy” when she was 13 and prior to the Russian audition. You will be transfixed and everyone who watched this beyond amazing performance of “ Me Voy” either cried or were about to cry. Hi Frank, This was the 3rd and final song of the competition in 2018 when Diana was 14 years old(there was a 4th song but it DID NOT count as points in the competition - called "Tomorrow Is a Lie" where the finalists could sing/perform with another person. Diana sang while Igor Krutoy(one of the Judges) played the piano, he was the composer of the Music and Lara Fabian wrote the Lyrics) BUT this song RECHENKA was not to be judged by the judges, ONLY by public vote. They were so mesmerized by her performance, as were the audience who started clapping, they hit the buttons when they heard the silence, forgetting it was the final song.

@@slavapetrov8547 а никто и не спорит. И кстати, сама Диана из ниоткуда не взялась. У нее были преподаватели, она слушала определенную музыку, на становление ее голоса влияли другие люди. Не думаю, что она вдохновлялась Шер или, тем более, Лизой Джеррард, и да, голос ее уникальный. Я лишь указал то, на что он мне показался похожим. Тут многие ее сравнивают с Шакирой, но я, например, не согласен. Спектр ее вокальных способностей пошире будет. А вот насчет курения в сторонке, то тут загадывать не стоит. Никто не знает, как Диана распорядится своей жизнью и карьерой и что вообще у нее получится в будущем. Нам же остается только пожелать ей удачи и сил в дальнейшем развитии, потому как такой талант не должен пропадать за зря.
