Speaking of high harmonies, try their cover of "Helplessly Hoping". Another a capella group you may want to consider is Voice Play. Their most recent release is "Enemy".

If you haven't followed them for a while, you've missed a lot. Every time I think they can't create better music than their current video, they're like, "hold my beer", and they do just that. They set the bar ridiculously high and then go ahead and surpass it every time. They have put out some fabulous music just in the past couple of years. I absolutely adore these guys and can't get enough of them. Thanks for the great reaction.

keep in mind both Tim and Austin have their own pages on YT, and Tim just came out with some new stuff also around 2 months ago, they came out with Unchained Love. Their cover of End of the Road is both fun and incredible and I feel most of us would recommend you work up to Mayday by reacting to some of their other stuff first

Have you seen their cover of 'Mayday' by CAM yet? if not you should check that out. Tim Faust also did a solo project including an amazing version of 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay'. If you haven't seen Mayday I strongly suggest doing that one _before_ doing will you still love me. If none of that works, did you know that Don Mclean did a 50th anniversary re-release of 'American Pie?' He partnered with Home Free on it. He said that he did it with them because, "They *get* harmonies."

They did two songs at the same time. "Wayfaring Stranger", was done for Adam's channel and is "featuring The Hound and The Fox" and they also did "The Sound of Silence" for The Hound and The Fox's channel "featuring Adam Chance".

Chance is a Baritone with a 4 octave range. The are all fairly tall. In the 6'1" - 6"4" range. Those numbers are a joke though. The board they gave Chance shows 5'. When Tim instructs he emphasizes that bases need to work on their upper range. He believes the added vocal flexibility helps performance everywhere.

Chance is really only a baritone here because of Tim.

p.s. The joy on your face matches what I feel every time I listen to them. Like you, I stated with Home Free on Sing-Off 4. If you have been away from them for a while, the fact that they have got better and better from an already high starting point I expect should be amazing if you had not been along for the ride that has happened song by song.... I almost envy you being able to observe that jump in one hit !! I introduced Home Free to a new small group I was asked to join just this week, and once again got such a buzz watching their reactions ( trained singers all) . Keen to see more of your work ! Cheers

Hi! New sub here... I'm a Home Fry from the beginning as well (since the Sing-Off), and love their music. You may remember another aca group from the Sing-Off - Voice Play. If you haven't heard their more recent stuff, treat yourself to Hoist the Colors, Warriors, Carry On Wayward Son, or the Wicked Medley. They have grown and evolved exponentially since the show!

Just for Tims range check out his layered cover of "Will you still love me tomorrow/stay".

Adam Chance was the bass for Street Corner Symphony the year before Home Free won season 4. Street Corner Symphony was runner up to Pentatonix that year. Home Free asked him to join their group in around 2014/2015 when Chris Rupp left the group.

Love this reaction ! Chance is a baritone with a good bass range - and I think that gives them a lot of freedom, considering Tim's excellent higher ranges. Nothing against Chris Rupp, but Chance works really well with 'the boys'. Hope to see you do more Home Free ! I suggest as MUST see Home Free: 'When a Man Loves A Woman', 'Brothers in Arms', 'End of the Road', 'In The Blood' and (save this for later) 'Mayday'.

The one that said 6'4 was Austin, who is actually the shortest at 6'1 and a half (as he says) Rob is the tallest at 6'4 (also the only one that does not wear cowboy boots, so he never actually looks taller than the others) the other three, are between there. I think Adam Rupp is 6'2 with Chance and Tim at 6'3.... Chris Rupp in an interview once said that he wished that tour buses had larger births as they are all big boys and he wasn't kidding.
@TheCgOrion2 жыл бұрын
Adam Chance has been a fantastic addition to the group, and he has some awesome lead and solo parts. In real life they are all very similar in height. I was standing a couple of feet from them, and while most of them were wearing boots, it seemed like they are all 6' - 6' 2". I'm guessing somewhere in that range.

Pretty fair reaction. Home free will do a cover and add their “swag” to it. Perhaps bringing out the background harmonies that lend to the flavor of the song, (Austin sounding like a lonely, faraway train), the background beat of urgency, yet holding the flavor and, tempo of the original. They never disrespect the structure of the original.
