I'm glad you're appreciating the arrangement, because that is Geoff's work also! I lot of the songs that he has done that have been requested by fans have been old songs that originally were done in a very straightforward verse, chorus, verse, chorus with a standard arrangement throughout and he usually switches it up in imaginative ways while not going so overboard that you can't recognize the song. My personal favorite of his remains Shenandoah, for it's sheer beauty, but it's definitely not got the viewed numbers that a lot of his other videos have gotten. I also adore his latest, 'Rains of Castamere' from Game of Thrones, and if, like me, you never watched that show, believe me it's not necesary to have seen the series to appreciate that song.

Your reaction was so much fun to watch!! You had me grinning the whole time. I subscribed after your reaction to Voiceplay's Hoist the Colours in anticipation of more reactions to them and to Geoff. My favorite of Geoff's solos is the one he did last Christmas, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. The arrangement is brilliant, truly. Next to that is Shenandoah, which is just sweet and beautiful and House of the Rising Sun where he is just showing off. As others have said about Goeff and Voiceplay, keep the closed captioning on. His captions are always descriptive, probably because his wife Kathy suffers from severe hearing loss, helped with hearing aids. And, he sneaks in humor from time to time (16 Tons and Way Down especially). Watch until the Patron list starts to roll, it ain't always over when you think it's over. I look forward to your next Voiceplay and Geoff reactions!

You haven’t heard his upper register? It’s amazing how big his range is. At the very end of Oogie Boogie (Voiceplay), he goes from a B5 (full voice) down to an E1 in the span of 10 seconds. He’s got a full 5 octave range. (he’s done stuff down to A0).

I don't know where Geoff recorded an A0: What song was that? He got a B0 twice in Halo, and Layne nailed an A0 on an inhale note at the end of Sh-Boom. I really want to hear Geoff's performance with an A0, so if you can remember where that happened I'd appreciate knowing.

Love how you described what's going on to help a non-singer appreciate even more what we're enjoying and why. Geoff's incredibly talented and busy. There isn't a bad or boring song on his channel. He'll rip your heart out with this one and High & Dry, make you giggle with Monster Mash (cameo by his wife and production partner, Kathy) and don't drink anything while watching Way Down. Watch with captions on, read the video descriptions, and let them play until you see the Patron list scroll. Same advice for VoicePlay. There are really good reasons why 16 Tons and Misty Mountains have 10M views and it's not just because he's sleeveless. He's really menacing in Rains of Castamere, has fun with his buddy Layne in Saddle Up, dances and lets out his inner Elvis in Way Down, and is intimidating in Big Bad John. Blackbird and Shenendoah really showcase his range. But like I said, not a boring song in his collection. Pick any of them and you won't be disappointed.
