I agree. This song choice was so wrong for Graces vibrato rich voice. The song is direct, emotional and pure, requiring simplicity rather than vocal width to shine. A great example of a coach putting very different voices together in a battle where the song choice favors one contestant heavily.

@@katherineonyournerves8812 Didn`t miss any points. Just have a different opinion to you. Its very difficult to `make a song your own` when you are singing with someone else. In that setting you have to sing with the other person so song choices MATTER a great deal. Time after time is sweet, emotional and thoughtful and that is not really in the wheelhouse of a wide vocal style like Grace has and bang in Reina`s.

Even with a different song, Grace was still undeniably reserved and not as strong as Reina. You have to give it your all in the battles.

There's no doubt Reina outperformed here but totally agree with you. It's kind of an easy non-technical song for someone like Reina with an underdeveloped voice to nail. It was kind of set up for Reina to excel while Grace not really use her whole range. It's too bad. I kind of wish the first round wasn't internal but dueling against someone with a different coach.

what happened to Grace? she seemed sad, out of place, as if she was far from the stage, she was so perfect in the auditions, including my favorite, I wish I could see more of her, what a shame to lose her so soon. honestly, Grace's runs were the reason why she lost. Being able to do it is great but in this performance, It was overdone and just put in all the wrong places. So many times she could've just sang without those runs and it would've sounded better.

I thought they were overdone as well, like she was trying too hard. At the end when it was pretty clear she lost she seemed to try one last desperate run. I don’t know, sounded very Britney. Not a bad thing, but not as good as Reina.

I will have to agree with you as I noticed that something was wrong with her as well! The fact that the nerves got the best of her is absolutely ridiculous because she is so talented as Blake was saying. I really hope Grace can take the feedback from the coaches and overcome those nerves in all her future endeavors. Reina on the other hand really shined and for a 13 year old to have a voice like that is just absolutely mind blowing and she reminds me of Hailey Mia from last season as she was 13 when she auditioned but turned 14 while the show went on

As for 'young', Cyndi was only 30 when she released this, and you know these 'amateurs' have had serious coaching and performing before they ever audition.

It was clear to me that 4 that she would be the winner of this battle because they like to mold the mind and personality to be what they want it to be

I do think Camila could have arranged it so they were able to harmonize together more, but for me the biggest issue for me was that you could tell Grace’s nerves got to her unfortunately. I know the show is called “The Voice,” but with the format including a lot of live performances it’s just as much about managing nerves and still putting on a good performance as it is having a great voice. That being said, I hope she’s able to bounce back and work through those nerves better in the future. It’s like Blake said, she’s got the talent and the voice for this, she just needs to trust it a little bit more.

Reina Ley has something not many have. She starts to sing and I can immediately feel what some would call little chills floating through my body. It isn't like she has the most powerful voice, although she does have power too, it just kind of hits you. Did they say she was thirteen years old? Amazing. Note: I've gone through all of her songs I could find and it happens every time. Her version of Zombie starts slow then hits you like a dagger. I think it is the timbre in her voice that does the job. What a decision for a thirteen year old. She could wait a couple of year and be a hit or put herself out there and see what happens. Whether she wins this contest now or not, she may someday be one of the best.

I need a "Fantasy Voice" app. Imagine how I felt the next time I opened the official Voice app and my one team member, Grace, was already out of the competition. If I had a "Fantasy Voice" app, I could keep her in and also have other Voice contestants as well, such as Reina if I wanted. Grace could post new videos on her own channel for inclusion in the Fantasy Voice app. Then as the season develops and Grace could sing without the stress of being a "Voice" contestant, her fans could continue to support her. I would be willing to take the risk that Grace would be my "Ride-or-Die" team member that wins the top prize. Now that Grace is past The Voice stress, it is her time to get down to business to show the world that she has what it takes, Fantasy Voice app or not. I believe in her!

I've even seen reina evolve a lot, but grace looks sad and unfocused, she's nervous. Grace has great potential and talent, but she doesn't seem ready to be on the stage.

Her audition was probably my favorite and one of my favorites ever. He runs still remind me Foauzia. Ugh, what is happening this episode. All these incredible singers and crazy performers win! @@Lissa102 I have never seen anyone comeback who has made it to Battles. I know people like Makenzie Wallace, who did not make it past Blinds and then comes back the next season and goes to semis! Maybe I just have never seen or been aware of someone making it to at least battles and coming back. At least on the U.S version. I’ve seen on the Australian version people come back even after getting through like knockouts. However, I have seen that in America. Can you give me examples. I just may have been unaware!

Something felt off about the battle. Reina was off the beat, esp in the beginning. I liked that Grace was making it her own rather than just sticking to the version we all know, but since Reina wasn't doing the same it clashed a bit. And they weren't looking at each other. Didn't feel like a duet or a battle... But Reina did get better as the song went on
