Holt crap, I thought Robbie sounded absolutely pitch perfect. The intonation was incredible. I don’t think I’ve heard that chorus sang better. It was just as good as the original singer! My Lackie had me from the first note. I just heard this song for the first time recently and he brought so much emotion. He honestly looked in this performance like he was coming to do a guest artist performance! It was magical!

Robbie actually missed a couple of notes and is still having breath control issues. Lachie also missed a couple of notes. I can't decide if Lachie's exaggerated vibrato is due to nerves or if it's just an artistic choice, but unless he is dealing with a medical issue it isn't natural or typical to have a sustained vibrato like that. They both did well. Neither were prefect. Ultimately I think it came down to little details.

Lachie kind of reminds me of Matt Terry, from the X Factor former winner. A good mix of talent, charisma and charm. I can see why he edged out Robbie this battle who’s understandably just a little more raw, but so good in his own ways as well! I'm a huge fan of the script!! When Robbie sang Breakeven I was stoked! He sang it well but I think he just couldn't pull it off at that pace. Slowing the tempo a little might have helped his breath control!? Maybe?.. Now, Lachie sang a song that I've never heard before.. but, holy hell that man can hit you in the feels. Such an amazing tone. It gave me goosebumps. He's also got great breathe control. So so good for these emotional songs!!
