Of course Karise has an amazing voice. She absolutely had to give everything to get through the audition and win the battle. But her control was quite raw. Too much vibrato and you can tell she was stretching to belt out those amazing notes. I was worried that it would be difficult for her to rein in and ground herself. But then Seal stepped in and said exactly what she needed to hear. And as a show of how good a performer she is, she took on everything he said. Her rendition of Nothing's Real But Love was perfection. Then followed through with Landslide and Hallelujah with the voice of an angel to get her through to the lives. Congrats Karise, you deserve everything!

She was already gone when I first heard of her, but I have been mesmerized by the pain and soul in the performances (especially live recorded ones) I have seen.
