Stell is so versatile and has proven himself to be able to do any genre including rap in SB19'S latest song Kalakal. But Stell loves ballads and OPM music. Thank you for this reaction to SB19's main vocalist, our heavenly voice Stell. He was a last-minute addition to the show as the front act. He was just supposed to sing 3 songs - All I Ask by Adele (but he did the Bruno Mars version), Defying Gravity, and his solo song ROOM before the show officially starts. But during his rehearsal/sound check, David Foster asked him on stage while DF was rehearsing and asked him to try to sing All By Myself. Stell was so confused but agreed and DF guided him to the arrangement and Stell was just basically trying to sing along without much effort, doing falsetto and all as he doesn't know why they're doing that coz it's not included in his set list. After that, DF asked him if he'd like to sing it. Still confused, Stell answered, "if it's okay with you Sir". So basically, there was no proper rehearsal. Stell finished performing his 3 songs (being the front act), and then he was called back again by DF during the main show. DF went on to challenge Stell that he only has one shot at nailing the note (after showing a clip of Celine Dion hating on DF for giving her the impossible note). Stell was obviously very nervous and pressured but it was a big opportunity he can't let past. And he NAILED IT! So proud of our boy! This performance went viral.

Stell was supposed to be just a Front Act. He already sang Defying Gravity, Adele's All I Ask and his own Room. He only knew that he would be singing All By Myself during his soundcheck. Stell was surprised to see David on the piano. They only had a couple of runs so there were no proper rehearsals. You might think that Stell was so relaxed but as he said so, he was a nervous wreck that time. There was an instance that he was mumbling during the instrumental, trying to remember his part as David arranged the song differently. But Stell killed it! He deserved that standing ovation. He started a bit higher than I thought he would! Good for him for hitting all those notes that climbed from this one up! Great voice clarity in most of the transitions, with overall lovely resonance (that glottal stop cracking up on him might'a been a bit of strage-strain seeping in, perhaps?). Then those high notes belting long-as-forever breaths! Also, Foster is quite intimidating ... so, yeah, kudos to this young man for handling himself so very well on this stage, live. Didn't think about the drum kit placement and impact - good point (and more points to Stell Ajero for how well he handled that!)

It is worth to know that this performance wasn't a part of the program. It was just a last minute addition by David. It was only during the rehearsal, hours before the main event concert when David asked Stell if he wants to try All By Myself. David gave him a brief one time run down of the arrangement and after that asked him if he could sing it later on stage. Stell agreed as he couldn't say no to a David Foster. He was just supposed to be the opening act singing 3 songs but David has other plans. ☺Stell was very nervous here, he admitted that in an interview. There were reactors who reacted to Stell's interview about the backstory of this performance. Thanks for the reaction.

Thanks for doing this RV... Stell has lots of live solo performances and his first EP's out last June, all great songs there.
