I think it gib sees it as Papi vs Slim fight it seemed (not saying it was) that Slim got a lucky shot with Papi, who was mostly showboating. Which is probably why he doesn't respect slims performance in that. It probably adds to Gibs dismissal that papi had reduced weight significantly in a short space of time and did not perform like he did before even in the loss to AT, I would say I did notice Papi's his shots had less power behind them (not saying that would change the result just something I noticed) and is obviously not his preferred weight.

No, slim actually fought very well in that fight towards the end. It wasn't papi anything. Slim timed a perfect shot which caught him and then patiently waited and timed another one when he was backing up against the ropes that ended it. Had nothing to do with fatigue. They were well timed and accurate punches. He just looks awkward as shit for w.e reason but honestly he's probably the most underrated boxer in the KZbin scene despite how good his record is.

I don’t think Gib is overlooking Slim’s ability, I think Gib is simply exaggerating the point that despite the KO, Papi was realistically winning the fight. I wouldn’t necessarily say Slim looked better than most people give him credit for (sorry Wade, love your vids but I disagree on that one!) as I wouldn’t say it’s his “awkwardness”, I put it down to low confidence during the exchange which was apparent in his mannerisms and movement which Gib was making a point of. If anything, Gib is looking more into Slim’s performances and fights (the fact he wanted to go further back on the clip of slim’s KO of papi to try and prove his point). Gib knows more about Slim than he leads on, which portrays in his venom and aggressiveness towards Slim which is an act of confidence. As for Slim, his goofy responses and “cringe” reactions in my opinion, shows some form of nerves or anxiety in the moment, masking uncomforted emotions (maybe a stretch but my POV). But yes, still a great KO on Papi, but Slim was not impressive during the bout. Gib shows preparedness, Slim in my opinion doesn’t, but that’s the beauty of face off’s and I could be 100% wrong!
