Influencer boxing has been dead for a minute. There's been nothing to be passionate about. I haven't watched any influencer boxing event since the Kingpyn semifinals. But finally after so long they're finally making Gib vs Slim. I think most people have already given up on the KSI vs Jake fight, but at least this one's decent.

Slim and Gib have some interesting attributes. Gib is clunky during the first couple rounds but becomes amazing during the latter! Slim will get so tired deep in the fight but still muster up the energy from somewhere to keep slugging. This fight will cook!

This fight is interesting to me. Gib seems to be the much better, more textbook boxer when he's at range throwing feints, jabbing, moving and landing combinations from a distance, whereas Slim seems to be much tighter and powerful in the phone booth where the fight becomes a brawl. And Slim is the taller, longer fighter than Gib. Gonna be interesting to see how their styles match up.

I am such a big fan of gib, but imo im gonna have to put it at a 60% chance of gib winning and 40% chance of slim winning. I think this will be gibs most competitive and tough fight to date. But I still think gib wins because slim has terrible cardio, slim might have the earlier rounds but he is gonna gas... But if slim can use his reach to his advantage (staying on his jabs/combinations to keep gib from closing the gap) then he could make it a much more interesting fight.

Silm vs Gib is FINALLY here!!!! Two influencers that have actually proved themselves and are fighting each other. Technically Gib is a better boxer, I would even say in almost all areas: Inside work, Clinch work, educated pressure, etc. Silm is a boxer/brawler with some physical advantages that he uses every now & then. Dude was a blown up Middleweight fighting at light heavyweight dropping natural cruiserweights: Mid range, better on the back foot, sneaky body shots, etc. Although Gib is a better boxer, Silm seems to be a slow starter like gets better as the fight goes.

@@haydaresaleh5097 he doesn't though when have you scene him get knocked out cold? when have you scene him wobbled? we besides jarvis we have seen him fight guys much heavier and bigger than him. has he gotten dropped yes but everytime he did he got right back up immediately. the few times slim has gotten hurt he has been wobbled and have shown signs of a weal chin. salt papi a smaller fighter than slim he got chin checked and he got wobbled if salt papi capitalized and didn't show boat we would have see a different outcome. Tom Zannetti his debut fight also again rocked slim in that fight and slim wobbled again bad. Tom Zannetti being his debut didn't know how to capitalize on it either if he did then again we would have seen a different outcome don't get fooled with the gib having been dropped because again everytime he did he got right back up and was ready to fight showing little to no sign of being hurt. this being while he fought bigger and heavier guys than him. don't be surprised if slim get hit by something goes down and isn't able to recover.

Yeh Slim has got attributes that can get him the win but I feel Gib is the more well rounded fighter of the two. If Slim's cardio is still ass then I expect less action in the first half and a brawl in the second half but that could cost Slim the fight if it goes points. If it goes distance, I have gib winning first half easily and Slim brawling it out and winning rounds in the second half

This is going to be a really good matchup imo, gonna have the whole community talking about it. Some good points covered by Wade here, Slim has shown some improvements and has that KO power and on the flipside gib has shown power (to an extent) and good boxing ability. Slim seems to be more of the go toe to toe with you type fighter out of the two although we have seen at times Gib is not afraid to go head to head and exchange with his opponents if needed. imo out of the two, Gib is a lot more defensively responsible of the two, Slim showed better defence in the papi fight, but it did mean he was losing rounds imo where as gib also moves in and out of range constantly. The fight is at a fair weight were both guys have fought at (168) so I don't think there should be any argument of weight bullying here. I feel like the first round or 2/maybe 3, will be similar to the papi fight with Slim being defensive and trying to get a feel of what Gib has to offer and at times exchange with him. On the flipside, I feel Gib will spend the first round or 2 feeling out Slim as he does in all fights and I reckon he steals those rounds from Slim. Then rounds 3 - 5 or going into second half, both guys will ramp up the pressure and that's when we will see the action, I reckon gib will still pressure Slim from early on in first half but not go toe to toe the way slim and salt did. This seems to be the best way to go about it tbh, especially if your Slim as he has shown he gasses out after like round 3 or 4 lol but the tradeoff is, he is at risk of losing rounds early which could cost him the fight. I do have Gib winning the fight, not sure if he does knock him out but would be a surprise if he does, if he does breakdown Slim early then I can see a stoppage but I am leaning towards a decision. I just don't think Slim has got all the tools to win more rounds imo, he tends to just brawl and head hunt rather than actually box and if he leaves his body wide open like he always used to, he is in for a long fight.

I think it goes a similar way that Gib vs Austin Mcbroom. Gib comes out fast and explosive roughing up Slim. Slim knocks him down with a hook. Could happen a few times. Gib gets up and composes himself and breaks Slims body down. Body head body head. Slim gets a bloody nose. It’s either ending in a tko/ko or his corner throws in the towel

Gib has been tested more. Hes shown he can get back up multiple times and still keep fighting, so even in Slim knocks him down, hes not out of the fight. If Slim changes his fighting style and actually develops a jab, things could be different, but if i had to bet, id go with Gib

Although I do box, Im not a coach so Im not a total expert in training regiments but I think he needs to get his cardio game in. He lost the fight against slim due to him not being able to hit important shots in the later rounds where slim DOMINATES.
