Never really liked Huck, she seemed suspicious from the beginning and to perfect, put together, and always full of answers. She actually says to clueless Felix when she was about to scout ahead, she said now its time to "divide and conquer"

*It's crack those nuckles before of typing time* Enjoyed this episode They tie Silas up outside while they decide what to do with him. - This is frickin AWFUL. Considering they have two people who know how to survive in the wild, you'd know this would be crippling to Silas. It's cold outside you see it with Silas' breath and his shivering, he'd be suffering from exposure being on the floor, Survival 101 you do not sit, lie and especially sleep directly on the floor. It sucks the heat out of you. Silas would be utterly crippled by morning. Deciding what to do with Silas - Felix, Huck and Hope are on the side of he's a problem - Hope basing her view on past history, thinks he did it. - Huck states the Wrench was covered in "Tony's" blood - Felix maintaining his character arc of just going with what other people are saying :D - Iris suddenly cares about Silas again! - Elton is on Silas' side being they've spent so much time with him, he should get benefit of the doubt, it could be someone else. - Percy is missing, they searched, presumed he went in the river and got dragged away by current (why would Percy, weak, injured, plop himself in the river???) - Huck knows what is in Silas' bag. Iris' drawings she had thrown away and Silas kept as he takes away trash. *random artist rant* - I think this is another tick in the box of how out of touch and selfish Iris is, throwing artwork away? In the apocalypse when resources are limited you would not throw stuff away. As an artist in the regular world, you don't throw your stuff away, even partially finished stuff it all stays with you unless you give it to another person, I have mounds of sketch books filled with utter garbage let alone finished work. *artist rant over* We have gotten some red flags for Huck having murdered Tony & Percy - Prev. Episode comment on 'if the shoe fits', she knows she can use his past to frame him - Percy disappearing in the river makes very little sense, think she dumped his body in the river. Either the way he was killed was identifiable, or she wanted a false lead for the others to follow - The wrench didn't really look like it was covered in blood. Also how did she know it was Tony's, why not Percy's? She said it with authority, she's making sure the others think that too. - She knew where Silas kept Hope's pictures, despite them clearly being hidden at the bottom of his bag, has she been going through everyone's stuff? - I think Huck killed T&P because it removes some of her control over direction and timing going in their truck . Silas just wants to die at this point - When a walker comes, he doesn't cry out for help he just accepts this is it, in his head 'this is how he goes out' - He's clearly never had the counselling he needed, despite people knowing about his upbringing and knowing about the incident. AND we know counselling was available because Iris was able to get it (of course she was). Omaha/Campus seemingly had a bit of a cast system going on as well. - He genuinely believes he's broken; he wants to do right by everyone, and he's been treated like shit most of his life. We are literally witnessing how depression, self-loathing, and suicidal thoughts can manifest. I connect a lot with Silas, feel truly bad for him and how he is treated. Whether intentional or not on behalf of the writers, he is a representation of how men are not supported mentally in the world and are expected just to understand and control themselves without support. - Silas has PTSD and has had no support for it. - He even gets out of his restraints but stays outside because he genuinely believes he isn't worth being around people he cares about. - Walks away because he doesn’t know how to feel like he’s doing right. and (for gods sake) has a heartfelt goodbye with Iris, he doesn't see how toxic she is for him. Silas' troubled past - When he was little him and his dad got on, his dad got him into music. No indication of when it turned sour. He clings to this part of his interaction with his dad, which is why he will not dob him in even when he has the chance too. - His dad has a short temper, had the same blackouts, seem to be rage related rather than booze related though. Obviously, booze heightens emotions, so understandable that the rage blackouts can happen when drinking. - Indication over dinner his dads a drinker, he pulls out hip flask to add a little something, something to his regular drink. - Silas one day when bigger snaps and fights back, beats his dad so bad his dad dies. And he then has to kill him again! As a walker. - He doesn’t have a supportive mother. This will be down to her relationship with his abusive father. You see she isn’t supportive of him because she sees his father in Silas. Even when he saves her, she pushes him away, even when he does something ‘good’, he is pushed away. - Not really sure how he inflicted the gut wound, being he just jabbed him with the photo frame, unless Silas has super strength like a failed Captain America. - Silas' neighbours knew his dad was a problem, maybe that's how he was offered the second chance, people knew it wasn't all his fault. Hope's self-doubt still prevalent - Talking to Huck, she goes on about Iris being the good one (WRONG!) - Huck gives her a pep talk about this all needing to be focused on getting to the girl’s dad (ooo why could Huck be so hellbent on getting there we wonder aloud) Iris, god damned Iris! #IrisNeedsToGetBit - I truly dislike Iris, she is a horrible person - She tried to claim she did not act differently with Percy - Now Percy's gone she’s back on Silas - She is a sociopath. She manipulative, uses people, and is only cares about people when they are doing something to benefit her feelings. She doesn't understand or really care about other people’s feelings if they don't benefit her. - Iris' feigned caring about Silas and doubting he did it, isn't because she actually cares, she's clearly demonstrated she doesn't. It's because the writers are trying to drop hints on the storyline, and because they want Iris to be the hero of this story, she's the one who drops the plot devices and narratives in. - Elton has to reinforce again that she is the leader… gives no backing evidence as to why, just that she is the leader and so should tell everyone else what to do. Elton - Decides to leave the group to go find Silas, because he believes Silas need support. The youngest person out of everyone ever in Silas’ life is the person who know he actually need support! - He finds out Hope killed his mother, gets the necklace... Now he’s gonna need support! - Those boys and their mini support group better not disappear now. If they are now out of the show, I’ll be fuming! Hucks big reveal - Well there was a lot of evidence pointing to this, however! - Hucks fathers’ watch. Was that really just so they could get in the line about the father so we realised it was her daughter? Or something stupid like it’s the girls fathers watch and one of them will notice is. I’d really dislike the latter. - Now we’re left with the big problem of, Huck’s backstory is she’s all about saving civilians and not following orders…………… so not really CRM material I think we’re left with two options to make the back-story work *I’m struggling with how they are going to tie this up, but I’m going with* Option 1: - Elizabeth says in Episode one that her daughter is working for CRM, but she’s away a lot and she doesn’t get to see her much. - Ep.8 Elizabeth says Huck has to take on a whole new personality for what she does. - When we saw Hucks flashback to the Marine unit, was she actually CRM then. Were her orders to ‘at the right time’ take out a military unit that wasn’t part of CRM’s plans? - Could her already being CRM explain why she knew how to deal with Walkers so quickly? OR Option 2: - Elizabeth says in Episode one that her daughter is working for CRM, but she’s away a lot and she doesn’t get to see her much. - Is Huck sent on deep cover assignments and moved on, so she never actually knows what happens to the communities after she’s gone. She might be left in the dark and believe Campus is golden. - Ep.8 references the book ‘the rules’ says they have to go back to Campus and have Silas dealt with there, and that she can’t go alone because Silas is too big for her to escort handle alone. - The girls couldn’t have been taken to their father in a normal helicopter ride to their dad, because that would have set a precedent that people can travel and communicate, which CRM don’t want. So a very elaborate plan to get them out of Campus. Now we’ve got Hucks big reveal out the way, we need to figure out he next one Why is Hope the asset? - Is she Elizabeth’s ‘other’ daughter? Might explain why Elizabeth was so gushing about her achievements, then remembering to also compliment Iris’ maybe she gave Hope up for adoption when she committed to the CRM world domination plan (yes I have just pulled that plot device totally out of my ass) - Is she the cure? (I really hope not) - Is it because she’s smart, but really easily led? So moldable into a good CRM Soldier/Scientist? - Is Huck's close relationship to Hope, because they are actually related, or because she is already molding Hope into what CRM needs ? Complete side note, not sure if it has any relevance - Have you noticed everyone we've seen of CRM so far is white, I know we've not seen loads of them with helmets off. Could there be any white supremacist element to the CRM? - They need Iris' father because of his very specific knowledge, but could the above relate to part of why he was having problems.

I think huck is working hope to make her protect iris and embedding the greater good thoughts so when it’s revealed who she is and why she is there hope will help her get iris to do what they want her to do! Who knows. You could be right. So many theories. Someone's got to be close to the truth. Maybe Huck is Hope bio sister and Huck is trying to groom Hope. So when it's time. They can team up as CRM soldiers and protect Iris or something.

Maybe elton is the asset and his mom is still alive and looking for him. Elton's mom said the wind always wins mayne this is why they took out campus colony. They wernt fighting against nature hard enough. And the orignal hope and iris story was just a giant red herring.

The asset is either: 1) Hope - She has the cure/vaccine inside her blood. Remember in the flashback when Dr. Bennett was telling Hope something like "I've got something big to tell you. It's not bad, but it's big." Everything said in the TWD universe means something. Heck, I don't think that her being named "Hope" by the writers is random either. 2) Iris - She said in episode 1 that she plans on studying immunology like her father. The CRM needs smart people like her to continue their research on finding a cure and maybe she needs to take Dr. Abbott's (who we saw as a walker) or her father's place to help find a cure. Iris is obviously very book smart. Either way, the CRM will need whoever is the asset to fully cooperate with them once they are in the CRM hidden city and/or research facility which is why they are allowing them to travel there on their own free will. If they just captured them and flew them there via helicopter it is likely it would feel like forced labor to Iris or Hope and they wouldn't give the CRM what they want. The CRM is manipulating this journey and will do so in a way that makes it look like they really are "the last light of the world" and thus endearing Iris and/or Hope to do the work they need them to do.

For me Huck is a good girl. She didnt said anything to her mother about the kids. The spies are Tony and Percy. Huck killed Tony because I think Tony is about to tell Elizabeth what they are planning to do and Huck framed Silas to be the suspect so she could play innocent in that situation and the asset for me is Hope,she is very smart and knows much about science stuffs and Huck maybe convinced her to just play along and be crms asset or the crm will kill their father if she spill the tea. Hehe this is just my own theory guys just correct me if im wrong😁

Not even Huck was immune to the whole "Military Bad" shenanigans. 😑 I'm starting to think that Huck lied about her backstory. Maybe she executed all her brothers in arms along with the civilians because they refused to carry out their orders. When they found Huck, she was by herself. Something happened to those civilians before she got to Campus. It'd be interesting to see the reverse be true.

I wondered about this too. But, her back story flashback wasn't done as her telling anyone, which is the moment you'd have her lying about her past. The flashbacks we saw of her were just her thinking about it to herself, while she'd been while out scouting. It would be pretty bad from a script/story telling point of view to show a flashback that was a lie, it would be seen as too confusing for the audience. From a story telling POV if she was lying, it should have just been her verbally telling say Hope about her past, so we don't actually SEE what happened, just what she TELLS people happened. Then later on you could have a visual flashback showing the truth.

​@@marco117sw It's definitely not outside the realms of possibility she's lying about stuff, I'm more hinging on the way it's been presented suggests the flashbacks the truth. So for a character to lie there are two ways - The character needs to be telling another character, but she wasn't it was her in her thoughts. - If she's lying to herself, as you say coping strategy, PTSD type thing, the writers should be showing inconsistencies in the flashback. i.e. She should have been having multiple flashbacks way before now, and each one should be a little off from the previous one, to show her mind isn't quite connecting the dots. If we get told in the next two episodes that flashback was a lie, then it wasn't good script writing, it wasn't a clever plot twist, the writers simply lied to the audience about what had happened. Remember as the audience we're not there, so there's no reason to lie to us because the characters don't know we're there to see what did or didn't happen. The show can be cut to mislead, different to lieing, by not showing certain details, for example she got an order to kill the marines from a secret radio only she knew about, but everything we've seen should be fact. It's too late to introduce a mental issue because we haven't had that even hinted at in the show. If the scriptwriters break the 4th wall and start lieing to us, we very quickly end up in a situation where we start to question everything. The only way to justify the script lieing to us, would be a major plot twist of none of it ever happened. Iris is just sat in class writing some fiction and we find out the whole series was her reading that story out loud in class. This all does however rely on good script writing, which hasn't been in abundance so far this season :)

It should have been obvious that once we saw Huck's backstory that since she was an ex-Marine (Military) that of course she would be part of the new CRM (Civic Republic MILITARY) group and that it was part of her blood/family!. i know i’m late but i completely forgot 9 and 10 aired last night. decided i’m going to rewatch 8 before the new ones and immediately i can’t get the thought that Huck killed Tony and maybe Percy got away or something else. Reason is Huck seems to be very quick to point the finger right at Silas, then connecting all the dots, then exposing the evidence from Silas’ bag. Huck came to the conclusion that Silas is guilty pretty much by herself, rejecting all other input. I don’t think Huck knows about campus colony and possibly Omaha being bombed as well because she mentions bringing Silas to a court there. Huck being with the CRM could explain why they had fresh looking mountain dew and I couldn’t help but be skeptical about the pristine boots that magically are Silas’ size or at least close. alright enough for now i’m gonna go find out how wrong i was lmao

well i’m actually surprised i was right about Huck killing Tony. I don’t know why I didn’t think it was Huck when watching it the first time, I think I was too focused on Silas to pay attention to the almost guilty look Huck had at points throughout the episode. I do have to say episodes 8, 9, and 10 where much much better than the other 7. I believe season 2 will be of better quality because now we will be seeing the beginning of the fight against the CRM and the beginning of what the CRM actually is. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a little bit of CRM back story but I bet the most important back story pieces will be in the Rick movies.

I no its proberly hope or iris but hucks mum Elizabeth didnt say anything about what sex the assest is and as theres 2 girls i would have fort Elizabeth would have said something about is she so as felix was ment to go with the girls dad is felix the assest plus huck was trying to get yhe boys to go back so she or felix could take the girls to the crm i dont think silas and elton was ment to b there and thats why silas was framed as well as huck killing tony and percy for the same reason huck knows its just ment to b her felix and the girls no 1 else is ment to b with them

I KNEW Silas was framed and a hero and that Huck WASNT to be trusted when she went away for 2 days!!!!!!! WOW so now we know Huck is the daughter of Kublick abd not the helicopter girlfriend of Althea (from FTWD) :) Cool murder mystery. Now we dneed to find out what happened to Percy. So Silas was just protecting himself from a "real" monster of his dad the scum bag abuser and then from the actual zombie monster (great forshadowing there) and then protecting his mom from an abuser. Sad sad. there is ALWAYS a reason!!! Talk about "sleight of hand" the producers did threw a "Tony and Percy" trick over all of our eyes :) hahahaha

I can't wait for the finale, that it's cancelled and I don't have to watch it ever again. It's the worst show ever made. 7 episodes in and I'm bored af. Nothing happening, forced diversity, a cast of kids that look too clean for it being an apocalypse series, 0 killing skills for saying they've been training for years. Really hope it doesn't get renewed. Fear the Walking Dead is so much better. I love it more than the walking dead the past couple of years.

@KRAVEN208 let's hope it improves cos I'm finding it hard to like the characters. The only one I liked was the woman from Witches of East end who was in charge who, from the looks of it killed a lot of people from the town in episode 1. She hasn't been on it for a number of episodes.
