I was 21 and working as a gardener i a small company, for years people (mostly my some of my teachers at school) told me that i worked to slow to work in a normal company but instead needed to go to a special sort of company for people with a disability. Suprisingly my boss found me that good that he gave me a little second hand company car to do some of his costumers, a few days later i was driving around in that car and then this song pops up on the radio, and i just felt so proud at what i had achieved. Moral of the story never stop believing in yourself. :)

I turned 31 years this year in August 25th, on my birthday I woke up at 4am and drove to my favorite beach (Manhattan beach, CA). Upon arriving there I was alone and free from everything and everyone. Ive battled with depression and anxiety all of my life, one of my most recent battles I was facing was my codependency issues people have brought up for me. First time in my life I was okay being my self, by myself. I felt the true understanding of the fear I was being held back from loving the most important person I have in my life and that is myself. This song takes me back to that moment standing there in the waters of the beach finally feeling free and accepting myself. It takes me back to that moment where I wish I could live in forever; that moment.

My uncle showed me this. His dad recently died and he told me that he found this song when his dad requested it a few minutes before he died. He remembers the serenity of playing that song in the hospital room, holding his phone up to his dad's ear, one last song before it all goes black. I was sitting outside under the stars when he told me this. Really hit differently.

This song is such a masterpiece that it will resonate for everyone differently in their own special way. First third of the song takes me back to the unexpected death of my baby son at one week old. Middle third takes me back to the years of grief and pain my wife and I went through after, hoping we'd one day be in a better place again. Last third of the song is the love and joy our one-year-old girl has brought us since.

I turn 74 tomorrow, a lifetime Dylan fan. I heard The War on Drugs for the first time just the other day. How did I miss them, their earlier albums? Age maybe? Huh? Anyway I heard this song this afternoon and instantly knew it was a GREAT one. Think of it, I have heard and taken in music of all kinds since shortly after WWII, so much water over the dam, in my life, and yet this strikes me as a beautiful, deep song. See it through my eyes. :)

She arrived seconds later after the song started and we had one of the best nights ever talking the night away, having drinks, and laughing. Every time this song comes on I think about that one night last year when I was with her having a great time. It pains my heart whenever I listen to it because I'm reminded of her so much. Reading these beautiful comments, I felt the need to tell mine. So, I just recently graduated and my life had been a rollercoaster. My mom passed away way back 2019 after fighting cancer for 4 years. My dad died last year due to car accident. I was his last backride on his motorcycle, and I still remember that last glance I gave to him after he gave me a ride to the hospital where I practiced my internship as a medtech. People may think I’m coping well with what I’ve been through but every night when I’m alone, I can’t help but feel everything at once and cry silently, hoping that I will have better days ahead and that the hardships I’ve been through were all gonna be worth it. Fast forward, on June 15, I graduated and being awarded as an outstanding medical technology intern in my favorite lab section, hematology. It’s definitely all worth it. And now, I just got hired and will start my job tomorrow. I’m still anxious whenever I think what my future will be. There may be more bad days ahead but good things have been here and will more to come. For whatever it’s worth, I guess the act of being more in the present and just try to live life, is enough :) To mom and pops: Thank you for raising me. Love you both always

It was back in Little Bend that I saw you Light was changing on the water Where birds above had flown There was pain in your eyes So you vanished in the night Missouri River in the distance So I lied upon the lawn I remember walking against the darkness of the beach Love is like a ghost in the distance, out of reach Travel through the night 'cause there is no fear Alone but right behind, until I watched you disappear I'm moving through the dark Of a long black night Just moving with the moon And the light it shines And I'm thinking of a place And it feels so very real Just moving through the dark Once I had a dream I was falling from the sky Coming down like running water Passing by myself in light In the morning, I would wake To the sound of someone's voice Like little whispers through the silence I'm moving through the dark Of a long black night I'm looking at the moon And the light it shines But I'm thinking of a place And it feels so very real Oh, sufferer of love Come and take my hand, babe There's a turn in the road that we've been taking Let it set you free 'Cause there's a rhythm in the way that we've been moving Yeah, there's a darkness over there, but we ain't going See it through my eyes Walk me to the water Hold my hand as something turns to me Love me every night Drown me in the water Hold my hand, is something turning me? See it through my eyes Love me like no other And hold my hand as something turns to me And turns me into you Lead me through tonight Pull me from the water Hold my hand as something turns to me Turns me into you Just see it through my eyes Love me like no other Hold my hand as something turns to me Turns me into you Turning me into you

Andrew, Well put my friend, However YOU HAVE TO BE IN THIS GIFTED PLACE at the right TIME, so your ABLE TO HEAR THE GIFT YOU'LL RECEIVE WITHIN THIS SONG. That allows you to be captured by this one songs musical spell received. This song gives you, during your first listening. During these very first few seconds of listening, the song has such a subtle yet strong structural spell, that magically locks the listener into a very unusual transfixed state. That most powerful inner beauty, is easily able to capture the trancendenation. To the listener from the songs begaining right up until the songs end. With that same soft subtle way the song first took you in. Now in the songs end it subtly releases you from it's beautiful, yet most powerful grip with such softness. Take Care all of you around the world, my dear friends. Take Care and Be Well..🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇸🌏✌...

@jackthehatuk.... How true, I'm sure you would be able to do so..I've been fortunate to have been a intricate part of Music for a great while now. The key for me is this. When a Musical Artist or Artists are able to paint something beautiful without, using a brush or canvas as their medium but musical instruments. Which in some way grabs your deepest emotions or memories, sad or happy. Or your own imagination is taken on a beautiful mental ride without physical movement, your captured in those minutes how many that may be. You've been touched in a place that only your welcomed to visit, or with friends in some instances. If you have a such a recomendation of a Musical Artist or Artists. Please my friend send me a reply. Live each day as you have no tomorrow. Before you know it, inner peace strength, and beauty will follow. Take Care & Be Well.. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇲🇫🇮🇹🇧🇷🇲🇽🏴🇨🇦 = 🎼🌏☮...

I discovered this song around the second half of March 2017, my oldest brother just committed suicide and this song crossed my path. "There was pain in your eyes when you vanished in the night, misery river in the distance". It speaks to me this very day and still don't understand why and what for, but it comforts me that thinking of this place takes me to him. Few weeks back, the band played Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and I would have never thought they'd close a 2 hour concert with an 11 minute song. Thanks Adam, you gave me some form of closure and am for ever grateful that you've kept me close to him, thinking of a place where we'd meet again.

Last year, Nov 5th 20, I was listening to my Dad's funeral songs on KZbin (6years funeral date) Van Morrison, then THIS SONG randomly started playing... I had never heard this song or of the band before. I can't tell you how POWERFUL IT WAS AND STILL IS. Every beat, sound, word, lyric through to the story of the song and how its power resonated deep. My heart opened wide and the tears flooding by the end of the first verse! But it felt so freeing and loved. I can't put into words how powerful, spiritually connected and healing an experience it was. It felt like he was so present through the whole song/experience. I felt as if I finally mourned for my Dad's loss. I had only found him 4 years prior after 30 years separation and I was heavily pregnant with my daughter when he passed. So this will ALWAYS be a very special song to me. Still makes my hair stand up... Also have a thing with numbers, tgis song is 11:11 long, it first played at 23:23 ❤️👌🏻 For a year now, I feel this band have given me so much more than music but a tool to free/connect/heal. Thank you for the music magic 🙏🏻😊🎶✨❤️

I'm 25 years old been on my own since I was 17 living on people's couches playing music listening to music and I dream one day I'll be able to write a song as meaningful as this because I love to see people feel music the way I do. With my mental health not being so great and not feeling as whole I hope one day I can be old and know that I did great things in my life and be able live on til I'm sitting on .y front porch in a rocking chair smoking a cigarette drinking coffee and looking back at all the memories that I have with people and know I'm not a bad person I can go on knowing I'm as good as the sound of this band makes
