Just discovered your great videos! Would do have any more videos in Italy since I haven’t found any more videos since 3 years ago. I’ll planning my trip solo to Venice, Rome, Almafi in mid October and was thinking of visiting Puglia area, perhaps Lecce but I won’t have a car so my trip will be limited. Wawww super interesting and beautiful city of Bari, that Church of St. Nicholas was impresionant , I was in Myra in Turkey some years ago and I was visiting the church of Saint Nicholas and they told us that he was buried in Bari! You must go to Lecce, the most beautiful baroque style city of the south of Italy and also Polignano a Mare, I loved your videos, and your explanations!

I understood her. I understand many ancient ltalian dialects. I spent many years working in an ltalian based nursing home here in Australia. And l met many ltalian people with different accents & pronounciations. They're all interesting & beautiful. To me, accents are a form of art & song. Some people call it lazy ltalian but really, the ancient dialects are True dialects of the areas before Mussolini ordered more uniformed ltalian (Tuscan accent) to be spoken after WWII.

Well, there are always quite a few tourists as Bari has a cruise ship terminal, but probably May is one of the best months to go as the summer vacations have not yet started, the weather is pleasant, there are a lot of flowers and the service providers are not tired yet.

Thank you for watching. Both cities are very different so it is very hard to compare, both have their good parts and less good parts. Catania seems a bit bigger and livelier, Bari has more a holiday feel to it. We suggest you to visit both to make your own opinion. Both are worth a visit.

Hi i'm Italian, Pugliese languages or dialects don't come from Greek or Arab but from ancient italic languages. Italy has dozens of regional languages , there are in Puglia some places where are spoken non italic languages of greek, franco provenzal and arbëreshe ( a varation of ancient albanian) but they are only a minority.

Bari is just the best. Me and my girldfriends been there twice now, and we are already longing to go back. We ran into that square with the beautiful old lady cooking for us randomly, ever since we just want to go back to that square, the atmosphere there during the evenings is just amazing!
