This is honestly such a misguided take. Not only is Sukuna currently unable to use his DE to counter Yuji here; but Jogo’s fight with sukuna was supposed to be an all out test of his strength, abilities, and firepower against the king of curses. Using his DE against Sukuna would be pointless because Sukuna would just counter with his own DE, and jogo would never have gotten the opportunity to go all out like he did. You could argue that they could have had a DE clash instead of the firepower showdown, but imo a test of raw destructive firepower is a way more fitting end for Jogo’s character than a DE clash to see who’s technique and barrier are more refined.

Makes the most sense logically but realistically most likely not the case I think yujis domain will be more of extracting the soul into the domain instead of the physical body and since sukuna was with yuji for so long my guess is that both of their souls somewhat mixed causing sukuna to appear in yujis body in his domain but wouldn’t make sense why yuji wouldn’t look like sukuna if the soul theory is true

10:29 my guess is that Hana requires both arms for hand signs to release a maximum output Jacob’s ladder, sure all she needs to do is blow in the trumpet. But to get maximum output she’s probably required to do incantations and hand signs to use the full output of the technique. We’ve seen this a few times in the series and it’s pretty much the only explanation I could think of

We’ve already been stressed the importance of hand signs with and without chanting. And jujutsu being about subtraction, so of course a maximum output woud require both. Jacob’s Ladder’s output is lower because the arm missing messes up the hand signs, 2 hands on the trumpet. Todo completely changed his activation method and doesn’t really depend on output. His increased range was mainly due to a binding vow that limited the amount of times he can swap per second to get range or additional targets instead.

It’s been HEAVILY explained in jujutsu Kaisen that your mentality affects extremely how strong you are. Hana and Angel both didn’t want to fight anymore, she literally said to Yuta she was in no state to fight anymore - she got her arm eaten by Sukuna and that clearly made her extremely fearful of getting into the fight, ence why she was literally the last person to join in. I read that the hand sign used by yuji is the ksitigarbha, a boddhisatva that guides others to enlightment. The guardian of souls, the one that will only reach heaven when hell is empty. This domain will be a cleansing of the soul, I think we will go through sukunas story to further push yujis ideals and reject sukunas ideals, so by the end he will win the battle of ideals that is the ending sukuna deserves. Either way in the domain will be a confrontation of ideals, thats the final 1v1.

Honestly, it might be a bit of both. Not necessarily that it *needs* both her hands to use, but rather that it's output is tied to it. Sort of like how Todo doesn't *need* both his hands to use his ability, he just needs to clap. With the major difference being his technique would usually be much harder to use with just one hand. And if that is the case, it could be cause Jacob's Ladder is clearly meant to be at least evocative of the symbol of God's Trumpets. Which are most often depicted being held in both hands, when blown.

The hands explanation makes sense, as we’ve been told about the importance of hand signs and changing all the way back in the beginning of Sukuna vs Gojo, and had that information reinforced through Sukuna’s world cutting slash requiring two hands. And again with Sukuna having to change his hand signs to use his domain. The only other time we see her use the technique on Sukuna she’s using two hands (ch 213.) while I think the explanation makes sense based on the power system, I don’t think it should’ve weakened the technique THAT much, especially if his soul is already weakened, but wtvr

Explanation of Hana could be that her missing arm effects part of the hand signs/trumpet holding. And sukuna wasn’t really stunned by yutas DE jacobs ladder. He took a second to use his world cutting dismantle because he had to use rct within the jacobs ladder to heal his cheek from yutas slash and his stomach mouth from when Yuta ripped its tongue out in order to chant the incantations.

i don’t think sukuna’s appearance was changed because he was made weaker (gege could’ve just took away his powers without changing how he looks). if the train station really is the one from shibuya, then it’s pretty obvious why he looks like yuji now. “i am you.” there is no one in the story who saves people without a second thought more than yuji. and if there was anyone who killed people without a second thought more than mahito, it’s sukuna. this is quite literally the battle that mahito was depicting when he first said those words to yuji. good vs. evil, curses vs humanity, sorcerers vs shinigami, etc.

okay here is my personal theory , what i personally believe is that yuji domain has something to do with the soul , since well in the past we have observed that yuji can implant "false memories" , and we see sukuna is yuji body is because their soul was linked at the start of the chapter . Dog that is not how binding vows work. You can break them at will, yuji has full usage of shrine except when he chooses to only target sukunas soul. This precedent has been set forever. And using hand signs has always been a type of binding vow that makes CT’s stronger. Hana can’t make the hand sign for jacobs ladder, so it’s not as strong. If anybody watching this wants to actually understand what’s going on in JJK, go watch manganimist

On top of Nick misunderstanding how binding vows work he also seems to misunderstand on how Yuji's version of shrine works. As he says since Yuji has narrowed down the use of dismantle to the barrier between Sukuna an Megumi's souls when he uses it on anything else its less effective and the scissor marks appear. Which is just not accurate as the scissor marks appear because shrine is being used by a different person and existing in a different era. Which is why Yuji's shrine has scissor marks its simply just his interpretation of Shrine. Didn't mean to rant idk its just something minor that was bugging me I guess

My understanding for why Jacob’s Ladder was less effective is because the connection of Hana and Angel is purely spiritual it leaves their physical body much more susceptible, so what sukuna means is because she suffered a physical injury it’s dampened the power that her souls are able to produce from that outlet. Meaning that if the same rules applied to todo, yes he wouldn’t be able to use boogie Woogie, but Todo’s Tech is not just a physical or spiritual ability it’s both meaning he doesn’t have any restraints on his tech While Angel does because she’s just using a body that’s only as strong as it is, if it’s damaged, her overall power decreases too much like Deku from MHA, he can throw a super strong punch, but if his arm breaks from it, his punch is weakened, obviously it’s not the most sensible but that’s what I took from what sukuna said

Fun idea. Maybe the idea is his domain disables cursed techniques. Maybe part of the reason Sukuna is scared is that not only does Yuji'[s domain put them on even stats...but if it turns off cursed techniques inside of it there is no way out other than a fist fight. No overwhelming the domain. No using your techniques to break the person like Dagon's domain. Just straight up throwing hands in all that is allowed in that domain.

This is the only time I agree with Nick’s JJK criticism: - Sukuna’s ability to be basically unaffected by Jacob’s Ladder which doesn’t get a proper and logical explanation why - Sukuna has to make rubble and parkour it as a way to reach Angel. While I love Todo and he is the Goat. It’s not implied at all that he used BW and instead like jumped up there which would have been fine. If it wasn’t for the fact that Sukuna couldn’t… - Sukuna somehow regaining RCT despite Yuji’s Soul Punches/Soul Dismantles apparently losing their compounding effect out of nowhere. Bonus: My own criticism is that the chapter ends like it did. After a break (understandable break) which unfortunately due to how our world is and peoples fleeting attention. The passion/hype/investment is somewhat lost or numbed. Now having us wait a whole week instead of showing like at least the DE name, appearance, function and then ending the chapter. With the consequences for Sukuna looming. Is very dumb. Nick I’m going to try and give you an explanation on why(i think) Jacob’s latter didn’t work well enough. (And I hope you see this nick) See we have actually(to my knowledge) been given an example on why losing a drastically affect you CT/CT output. That example being naobito, see when naobito fought against Dagon he lose a good bit of his arm, and after Dagon they had to fight jogo, and ofc naobito got hit/killed by jogo’s flames, and it’s said that the reason why jogo was able to get naobito at all is because his CT speed was slowed because of him losing an arm. And for todo still being able to use boogie woogie is obvious, because he made a damn Binding Vow. Hopefully this helps.

For me this still doesn't explain it completely, in Naobito's case his technique involves moving your entire body So without the arm he would need some training time to adjust his frames to not lose his balance while moving On Hana's case I think it's the "ritualistic" aspect of the technique that was affected, like using both hands to hold the trumpet while blowing was similar to Sukuna needing his hands to use the world cutting slash. The difference for Hana and Todo is that Gege is allergic to making women strong so Hana could not think of any binding vow she could make to have 100% output back

By doing so he changes how u view him, canceling ur curse energy. It fits with him being the nephew of Sukana. What if Sukana’s brothers technique was original a feed technique. You have to keep in mind that Angel is a vessel. Like Sukuna who was weaker and had no technique the less fingers he had. Angel is also going to be weaker when they are missing their whole arm. So essentially Hannah is operating her technique at what would be 50% output. However that is probably not the case as Angel was probably not a cursed finger object. Was is more likely the case is just the ladder getting weaker the closer you are to the top so since Sukuna took initiative to get to the top get was hit by a weaker Jacob’s ladder.

I have 2 ideas for what Yuji's domain is 1. Sukuna being in Yuji's body could be the sure hits being Sukuna now is in Yuji's grasp like Mahito and Yuji has the most influence when Sukuna while he was in his body meaning this could be the most powerful dismantle with no resistance to the severing. 2. Yuji's Domain focuses on Yuji's control on his soul and the reincarnates soul with the idea that he's their vessel and might lead to self ending destroying Yuji and Sukuna souls.

Shrine. A technique that’s based off worship. Sukuna worships food so his technique is a depiction of cooking. Yuji worships nothing but his friendships and memories. 16:07 that is not true, even one finger sukuna could use rct in a great way, if you hit multiple black flashes your intensity increases, in terms of energy specifically electric energy intensity(Q/t), is the amount of electric charge that passes in a second. So to charge something it would take more time the lower the intensity of the electric current is. So to regain RCT you need a certain amount of curses energy or charge, the more intensity someone has the less time it would take to reach that threshold. Considering every black flash further increase the intensity to an exponencial level, so more black flashes decreases multiple times the time it needs to recover until it reaches near 0, either way sukuna stated that one more soul dismantle would kill him, yujis domain with the sure hit effect would do the trick this is ggs. But before the end I wish we have a final backflash of sukunas story.

I think I understand why Hana's arm being gone effects the strength of her technique. We all know how important hand signs are in Jujutsu for amplifying and buffing techniques like World Slash and Hollow Purple, but I feel like we've also forgotten that hand signs are also a necessary step in the activation of a lot of techniques. If you change your hand sign for a techniques activation, you'd also have to change your interpretation of how the technique should work to fit with that hand sign. Lets use Megumi as an example here. If Megumi hypothetically lost an arm he could still use his Ten Shadows techniques by creating the shadow puppet signs with one hand, but then the summons would also probably come out highly oversimplified, like how his hand signs would be, and therefor probably be a lot weaker than if he had summoned them using his full two-handed signs. I think Hana's/Angel's technique operates by a similar principle to this in that her hand signs for her technique activation have been simplified due to the loss of her arm, which made the overall interpretation of her technique weaker.

Maybe Yuji's domain expansion strips everything but the base form of those inside, to their very core. Doesn't exactly explain why Sukuna looks like that, but i don't think we ever saw Sukuna's form without the extra arms/mouth, and since he's technically Yuji's brother this might be something closer to what he looked like as a human? Would be an interesting way of setting up a more equal fight, seeing that Yuji's mind has gone through so much shit and he's still standing could translate in his "soul" being stronger, giving him a leg up?
