I have a cochlear implant and I really flipped out when I first saw Bojji in Ranking of kings people never realize how something as simple as positive representation can affect others until they see it in action. I love that they used actual sign language in Ranking of Kings that literally blew my mind I don't actually know much about the creator I recently started watching the series if they are hearing impaired or not but the fact that they had real sign language put into the show is a level of respect for the people who would love representation like Bojji we don't see very often

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Sakura threw a stalagmite upwards as both her and it were falling downwards. I wouldn't doubt that if she wanted to, she could punch the Susano off of a tailed beast just like Hashirama did, but with just 2 hands and not 1,000.

I feel Piccolo should be on here. He's always coming up with strategies, seeing through enemy techniques, holding off many of the enemies until the Saiyans are ready to join the fight. He is intrinsically linked to the Dragon Balls and their lore. He has some of the best character moments, comedic and serious. He was supposed to be the main Protagonist of Super Hero but they decided to add Gohan in too, which I don't mind as they have a really cool relationship and work really well together. Piccolo is like a second father to Gohan after all. I feel people talk about Vegeta and his turn around from villain to deuteragonist far more than they even mention Piccolo. As to others on this list, I don't think there are any here that I know from their respective series that I would disagree with. Riza also has Mustang burn her back to remove the Fire Alchemy equation which her father had tattooed onto it so nobody else could use it for war. She is a great character for sure.

Hey man, if you include anyone in dragon ball you have to include everyone but pure saiyans and some surreal oddities. Piccolo is facts, but also; Tien, krillin, yAmChA, goten, kid trunks, lets throw gotenks in too, Future trunks (pt 2), roshi until the top manga only. The buu saga itself, and the lead to super really made all of them underrated hella. I mean be real even oolong saved the earth

It’s not that I don’t want it too it’s just after seeing what is supposed to be our hero get smacked down like he’s nothing at all… I mean ok I get you have Harry Potter vs Voldemort situations where it’s not pure skill and power that wins the final fight. Remember that Yoruichi knows other obscure techniques too. She taught Byakuya the Utsusemi technique which he had to use against the Espada Zomari. Utsusemi is the next level of speed above Shunpo and it’s only ever displayed once, by Byakuya, in that fight.

I would switch Leorio and Kurapika. We all Leorio was the weakest of the starting 4, and he is, but his ability and toughness are underrated. Essentially, his emitter technique can be used as a sonar and to emit blasts of Nen to precise locations in the body or on a surface. Ging explained it better than I could.

Yoruichi did not create shunpo,shunpo is one of the oldest forms of movement in bleach,she created shunko,the mix of high level shunko with kidoh and hatsuda

Hiruzen is insanely underrated. He was Hokage longer than all other Hokage _combined_ and led Konoha to victory through 3 Great Shinobi World Wars as well as held the title of God of Shinobi along after one of his teachers. And as the 2nd oldest man on earth defeated a Legendary Sannin, the 1st Hokage and 2nd Hokage by himself. Not to mention that for the many years before the academy, Hiruzen was the _only_ person in the village to care for Naruto

He’s not really because he has the accolades and praise to show for it. Rock Lee is “ugly” and cannot use Jutsu and people love him and cannot forgive the creator of Naruto for not delivering any further with Lee. Rock Lee even uses the Sarutobi theme to save Naruto’s skin.

So, something you said in the Sakura bit caught my attention. The teams were said to be assigned to be balanced. Naruto and Sasuke were on the same team because Sasuke was Top of the class, and Naruto was the bottom. Which, theoretically means Sakura was somewhere in the middle. Above average mental/chakra ability, below average physical ability. So, I suspect that, and would have really liked to see, Sakura could beat Naruto at the start of the story.

Sakura was top of the class in grades , so she should've been among the last ones physically. But I wouldn't take statements in early naruto as being correct (remember the Hiruzen statements , or Byakugan>sharingan)

I honestly don't get how Kishimoto messed up Rock Lee so much... Like he had the absolute perfect set up to have a shining moment in Shippuden. He tried so hard to push his limits and show the world that "hard work beats talent" that he had to go on a surgery that could potentially incapacitate his ability to be a ninja. Imagine if he was the one who kicked Madara's ass, how insane of a pay off it would be... but nah, it all went to his teacher.

Not everyone's body can accept hashirama cell that is the reason why once mitsuki got hashirama cells inside his body he got sick so I think they would have tried with might guy but it would have not worked and that's why the didn't gave him leg but that's according to story . In reality it more for plot because due to hashirama cells might will become more powerful due to his regeneration capabilities and will be able to go to 7th gate for longer time and that will hinder the plot😅😅

You should make one just for naruto characters. Also another category of overlooked characters are the ones that don't get their good moments while fighting. I might be biased because that happens to my favs a lot. But one example is Momo from my hero academia. most people don't really seem to care about her. Spoilers: She's also one of the only students from class one a who hasn't gotten a moment in the final Showdown yet, despite having an already existing, sort of, arc that didn't have a satisfying conclusion yet. Unlike other moments that came a bit out of nowhere. (I still like those moments, also if she gets a moment I will shut up) Another character that comes to mind for me is Nami. It's probably a reach to call her underrated I know. But lots of her moments aren't really noticed by many people. Or just not aknowledged. One example would be what she did in wano. People usually only talk about how she and Usopp together got their butts kicked. But she actually had good character moments even during that fight, they just didn't have anything to do with her fighting in a really cool way. And I am aware that I'm talking about two battle shonen. So it would make sense for the audience to be more interested in fighting.

Let me go ahead and add the Vongola Family from Hitman Reborn, Black Star and Death the Kid from Soul Eater, then some protagonist that are underrated just because the anime didn’t finish with the manga. Aladdin from Magi, Ikki from Air Gear, Ganta Igarashi from Deadman Wonderland and Rei from Code Breaker. Honestly all of these shows got multiple characters who deserve more.

Okay everyone saying that tenten didn’t get enough screen time drives me insane. Including filler she had over 10 hours of screen time. For a character who was very clearly not a main character, didn’t have a back story, or any relevance to the story or plot that is a LOT of screentime. By comparison Draco Malfoy only had 31 minutes of screentime accross 8 Harry Potter movies as the title characters main rival

I think shikamaru being the hokage instead of kakashi or sakura is more on the logistical side of things because he's the person who's been running the village alongside naruto for what seems to be the better part of a decade as well as being the smartest guy around. kakashi not going back like hiruzen is strange but this is kakashi, so it's very in character for him. sakura has her own duties as well, so her being amongst the strongest is not enough to labor her with a job that she isn't suited for. the same applies to rock lee, I suppose.

Also unless you are going to call every picture of a dude who is half naked in a socially perceived "sexy" way misandrist (so basically most dudes in ALL media), then you shouldn't call a woman who is depicted as "sexy" misogynist simply because they are shown in an attractive/sexy way. Being attractive is not the same as being held down by any other group, and quite the opposite attractive people tend to get everything they want socially handed to them JUST because they are seen as attractive.
