Good DIY video. Helpful hint: You can attach the bolt into a drill chuck. Then just spin that sucker into the wall so you don't have to twist it in by hand 😉

Nice and simple and looks great! The mounting hardware is expensive. You can save money and just use 7/16" dowel rod.

Now this is more doable... and realistic cause not everybody and their mother owns a hack saw, miter saw, chain saw, drill press, hammer drill, rotary drill, brad nailer etc., etc.

NICE! Would you or anyone recommend filling the holes in the wood/shelf for the lag bolts, with some wood glue or some type of epoxy? I'm just curious if that would stop any play once the shelf is installed over the bolts. I'm assuming there's a little bit of play between the bolts and wood. Thanks
@theweekendbuilder2 жыл бұрын
There is actually no play in the shelves. And you don’t want to fill the holes with epoxy because then you couldn’t get it off

I agree "to a point". But.. It makes for an interesting story I suppose. If you go with the idea of no story, this video could have been done within 60 seconds. "Here is some wood. I chopped it to size, made it nice. Drilled some holes in it that were straight. Be careful here. Put the hardware in the wall. Pushed the wood on. Done." But where is the fun or interest in that?

No need for the comment tbh u can very easily skip ahead if you don’t need to watch that part
