I love the Voyager class ships. Sailed the Adventure this past May and will sail Adventure again in October. We have sailed all of the Voyager class except the Explorer. Thanks for the Tour !

Hi Brandon - today's trivia... My very first cruise was a high school trip and we went to Dubrovnik when it was Yugoslavia. The ship was so basic with our rooms like giant dorms with bunks of 4 and at least 12 of us in a room. For dining, we had metal trays and you walked along the buffet but they just put food on your tray. Later when my friends ask me to go on a cruise I was truly hesitant. Glad I gave it a second chance. Anyway, nice tour of the Explorer.

Beautiful ship. My first sailing, years ago, was with Navigator of the Seas, a sister ship, so this felt very familiar. I was recently on Symphony of the Seas, a much bigger ship, and I loved most of it. But, the solarium is waaay better on Voyager class ships. It's just so classy! Plus On Symphony the solarium is more enclosed and it gets too warm. I also love that even on lower levels you can go outside to watch the sea or the port, whereas on Symphony you need to go to pool decks or get a sea view balcony stateroom.

I agree with your assessment of the solarium. Def like it better on the smaller ships and rarely use it on the big ships. I like the wind movement!

Thank you so much for this very informative tour. I have been on this ship some years ago and was wondering how it looks now. Being a (German) "Diamond Plus" member I appreciate the nice lounge they made for us. On my favorite ships like Rhapsody, Jewel and Vision it does not offer some space like here and is often really old- fashioned and - sorry - musty. What I like very much is still to see a lot of "warm" wood at the walls like before. 👍 And I agree: Do not book "My Time" if you are not willing to wait up to an hour in a line to be seated. 😉

Love the Voyager class ships. I wish that she would have been fully amped like her sisters NV and MR. By the way, even though the Majesty is no longer with RCI she is still around. She is owned by Sea Jets and is laid up under her new name Majesty of the Oceans and is listed for sale. Dizzy was a famous jazz artist. The Concierge lounge on that ship is dreadful. I thought all of those were gone. The Diamond lounge looks much nicer. Thanks for the tour.

Thanks for the great tour!! Sept 2024 will be my 3rd time on Explorer. My first time cruising was in 2017 on a 23 day transpacific from Seattle to Australia on Explorer. I dont set out to cruise on Explorer, it just happens to always be the ship for the itinerary Iv selected.

Be careful, you might develop a "home ship" if you keep sailing Explorer!!! She is a good ship! VERY jealous of the crossing to Australia!!! That is a trip of a lifetime.

I was hoping shed have had her make over before sailing her again, but doesnt look like its on the docket. Hey Jerry, thank you!!! There is not a movie theater on this ship. If they showed movies, they did it in the Royal Theater at the forward section of the ship. Think the movie theaters are only on the smaller ships.

But l am very curious and excited to go on such a beautiful ship. We will be stopping at Santorini and l have heard and seen videos of how bad it can be in the Summer. Do you have any tips? Thank you! Best tip to avoid the crowds is to not go during summer. Now that you have booked the cruise, just know you will be one of many there and ensure you have good private tours or ship tours to escort you around and get pre-entrance where possible to anything you want to do.

Is that just for newer ships, or would you say that we need to do that for the Explorer too, l can't see anywhere that allows it on th e app?

haha I keep reading "my night time moon light putt putt" it's a bit of a tongue twister! And good poitns on Quantum and Vision. I understand why Quantum doesn't but suprised vision doesn't. Prob just too small.
