8:05 NoFear actually saw the ruined portal in double f5 as he was mining the first log, otherwise he would've likely reset.

The craziest part about this run is after 10 months of the record standing the new world record doesn’t even use a god seed. He spawns far away from BT and has to run back to get wood. He was to run to for ~30-45 seconds to get to the bad part of a treasure bastion. He has to do home portal and get crazy strays and drop rates. This run was not pulled off by luck it was pulled off by skill.

Aside from the incredible strays and the 2-eye (actually 4-eye), the hidden reason this seed is so fast is the terrain. He played it impeccably and that's why he still has the world record (if you didn't know, Doogile got a run only 4 seconds slower than this the day before yesterday), but generally seeds with less than top-tier overworlds and that kind of distances in the nether don't do more than sub 10 no matter how well you play or how lucky your rng.

All Minecraft wr at this point are still immensely lucky. Quit the cope. If he had to do a 5 seed in a row average you wouldn't be seeing 7 & 1/2 minute averages. This was a super skillful run but please, let's not pretend like it's not super lucky xD. Bro was resetting for years to get this chance, he's just skilled enough not to squander it.

i'd never thought about sub 10 min runs from that perspective before and that just blew my mind. i also did some quick math... because saying before the first sunset, as crazy as it sounds - is actually somehow underselling the true absurdity of 7:24. A minecraft day is 20 minutes. day and night are each 10 minutes ...sunrise starts 6am, sunset 6pm. Lets convert to "real" time... 7:24 is 74% of 10:00.... 74% of 12 hours is 8:88 hours, which converts to 8 hours, 52 minutes and 48 seconds. This man beat Minecraft before 3 in the damn afternoon. 2:52:48 PM - to be exact. THAT IS BONKERS.

The most interesting part of minecraft speedruning is "random seed, No Reset" you must play the world you get. And then after 5 runs at random seeds you use your average time to compete with :D Like rubrics Cube but with Minecraft speedruns :D

and also i guess it's doesn't really worth it cause oneshot in 1.12 and 1.16 are different since in 1.16 you need wait till dragon perch and wait another like 30 seconds(???maybe) until she starts leaving cause you cant damage her with arrows since she sitting on portal and in 1.12 dragon just simply may goes straight to you (im not sure if i said everything correctly) but maybe you can do this crazy things with pearls which have been shown in curcuits TAS videos with oneshot!!
