@@drone_nier6271 they've had work done so presumably they took care of them to some degree in the past. The person might be older, down on their luck or unwell in some way, mentally or physically, so they very well might not brush at all anymore.

I bet the dentist team are doing this as part of social work. The patients might be homeless people considering how bad the condition of the teeth and the team offer them the work. Such a great job. They are also doing it very carefully.

there are ppl with dentist phobia as well. These ppl will never go to a dentist unless u force them.
@kikima343 жыл бұрын
My guess based on the wear and tear of the teeth is that this is an elderly patient. There wasn’t a push for dental hygiene in Japan until recently (compared to the US) so a lot of elderly people don’t go regularly and have worse at home dental hygiene than younger people.
@amebansmic75603 жыл бұрын
This man has metalic protesic tooth, which are a quite old technicle these days. So certainly he isn't a young person. However, for Japanese people, having heaped teeth is seeing as "kawaii" because children use to develope their teeth like that till the definitive teeth merge up. Therefore, many Japanese people just keep their teeth like that because they look like a cute children thing, being careless about their teeth health.

Tartar is mineralized microorganisms, if you extract a tooth and let a door open to your blood vessels, what would happen? Some really bad systemic infections
@shanlynn813 жыл бұрын
@@estrelinha8470 exactly. Not to mention he has to be able to see where the teeth exactly are before pulling them. And with so much tartar it’s hard to see what is tooth and what is tartar.

In addition to extremely poor dental hygene, what else can cause this horrible condition? Did this person have an underlying illness? Such as diabetes or autoimmune disorders? Not a single tooth looked salvageable. If this dentist and his staff was able to save just a single tooth I would be completely 100% amazed! I would love to know the outcome of this procedure?????

Would of been easier extracting the front tooth that was full of tartar as it's so loose anyway and made cleaning a lot easier too
@redcowcat87053 жыл бұрын
The goal of the cleaning is leaving the teeth healthier. Not extracting the teeth that will never come back to make the cleaning easier.
Tartar seems like the least of their dental problems.
