Such a perfect Christmas present! During games at the Kantrida stadium, a long cloth (2 m high) is used so that the game is not seen from street level, plus the police would police the road... Side story about musrooms in Rijeka, the prison in the city centre is close to some WW2 tunnels, and they used to grow so many mushrooms that the prisoners rebelled.

In 1986, the football team of Rijeka, then Yugoslavia, came to the tournament "Varna Summer" and won it - and after the final, the fans of Rijeka went from the Yuri Gagarin stadium, the city stadium to block 68 of the Chaika district, where apparently they lived for a few days in an apartment - a friend and I followed them and took one of their flags (they were quite large) they left them at the entrance to block 68 where apparently they were staying.........after so many years (38.5), I apologize if by taking the flag we offended any of their fans:)))))!

The stadiums of Rijeka have some different design features like the Stadion Kantrida where you are stuck between a boll and a rock and the stadium with the visiting fans locked up in a cage seems to be a dangerous place to visit.

Centar Zamet, usually I don't like modern architecture but I've seen a lot of modern stadiums lately that are pretty sweet and Centar Zamet is one of them! I love the outside design, great example of how modern architecture can be unique and beautiful (I'm no architecture expert just go by what I like). I hope they can do something cool with Stadion Kantrida because the location is as good as it gets.

If you google it, the project idea is looking amazing and hopefully they will sort out everything with the city administration

@@nathanukalovic3872 some of the pics the design I can still see the cliff face which I hope they do. A partial view of the sea too.
