Spot-on! Thanks - This message is one for many. Personally, it was not long ago that I came to this understanding. I enjoy the creation the same as I did before but now with a different lense. A lense that now knows the mountains, trails, flora and fauna point to the One who created the creation. For me the creation now is the trailsign pointing which direction to go and which direction to look. With eyes now vertical my appreciation has turned to praise and worship. So much better. I believe many "nature lovers", athletes (mtn biking, trail running, etc fall into the trap I did.....worshiping the creation rather than the creator. Thanks again for sharing.

Wanting a husband has become an idol. It’s soooo annoying because God literally says put the kingdom of God first and everything will be added to you AND to take every thought captive and hold it in submission to the statutes of God. . . It’s so hard for me. I’ve spoken to the Holy Spirit about it and he redeems my mind but i willingly go back. I feel like it’s a spiritual strong hold

God absolutely 100% knows best and if things aren’t looking so good in the moment, God will reveal and help you to understand why 🙏🏽🙌🏽 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight. ❤️ God will give us the desires of our hearts, but it will be for His Glory God bless you!

I'm making an idol out of wisdom and knowledge. I want to be the most knowledgeable person in the room on Scripture and historical context for the sake of it but not in service of God. I read the Bible and supplementary readings constantly but have a weak prayer life and compromise all the time. Pray for me.

Thank you, Pastor Alex for this wonderful message. I know sometimes I get caught up in worshiping the creation whether it’s career school, social media music family that desire to be in a relationship. Those have honestly been some idols in my life as well thank you for reminding us that we need to be aware of what were sacrificing and that determines who were worshiping so thanks for reminding us. The purpose of the creation is the point of respect to God so really appreciate the message today.
