How to Spiritually Mature

This video explores the concept of spiritual maturity through the lens of child development, specifically "object permanence." The speaker draws a parallel between a baby's realization that their parent still exists even when out of sight, and a believer's dependence on God.
He argues that true spiritual maturity isn't about independence, but rather about recognizing our need for God and relying on Him. He uses personal anecdotes about his children and his own relationship with his father to illustrate this point.
The video concludes with a call to embrace dependence on God and find joy in that relationship.

You are teaching about spiritual maturity, but you also are teaching about parental maturity. So many parents, after working 9-5, leave their kids into the hands of the devil (temptations). Most teenagers have a rebellious stage, but they haven’t ever had a relationship built like you guys do with your kids to begin with. I feel a lot of parents don’t not have close bonds with their children- I guess it could be hard with both parents working 9-5. Nonetheless, this was a GREAT video Alex. Love.

I need Him for literally everything lol. I'm at the point where I don't want to do anything without Him. When I'm not depending on Him I don't want to make any financial decisions, sell to people, or reach out to people because my wisdom, competence, integrity, and relationships all depend on Him. I don't know why He still wants to bless me with His fruits after being so wayward but He does. God bless

Thanks for this Alex. People think we are “spoiling” our child at 3 months with holding him, cuddling him, etc but in reality this video puts it in words perfectly. I want our son to feel healthy dependence on us. Not these lies from the world, and government that we should be allowing them to “cry it out” or be independent asap .. as children. It’s wild to me but this just confirms that as child of God, we must pass down the love, joy and admonition of the Lord to our children! (:

Jesus brought me here, fear gripped my heart in the beginning as I felt you were gonna say I needed to mature and grow up. I balled my eyes out asking for Him to pour out His Spirit on me today. I realized I was away from him and he brought me back as he heard my cry and supplication. So thankful I get to be a child with no worries. A Father who will always provide. Thank you for your message I love being dependent on Him. Praise YHWH GOD!

I love the comparison between our relationship and dependence to our parents, as our relationship and dependence to God, as a Father Himself! I tend to think that the relationship we have with our parents, and their love for us, is like a small glimpse to the relationship we have with God. Parents are such a gift!!

The freedom part was what the Lord shared with me. There’s nothing more freeing or liberating than being with Him. No matter what I have or do it doesn’t bring freedom if anything it can imprison me, but because He is freedom I have it already in Him.

Being a new mom object permanence is something I did not know before. It is humbling how much my daughter needs me to regulate herself emotionally at this young age. I understand fully how we as Christian’s depend just like my newborn on the presence of our father and constantly cry out even if we know he is there. ❤ beautiful picture

I don’t want or don’t think I will ever be lackluster towards or with any thing relative to Our Father. And that’s what immediately came to my mind as you stated people not being dependent upon The One who is able to do all things. It feels wrong to even think that I could rely on any other. Help us Lord God to have total dependence upon You and only You, Amen Amen and Amen.

Please help me, early this year my mom got hospitalized and I had to use my savings to pay for her medical bills. Unfortunately she passed away on June 8 2024 and my life has not been the same. The savings I had used were initially meant for my dry season when things are tough and slow at work. I am now drowning in debt I don't know what I could do. I am still mourning and still in hurt about the loss of my mom's and at some time I am trying to stay alive each day with the debts I am in. Help me please, I am on my knees, help me please 😭😭🙏🏾
