When my youngest daughter was little she started setting an extra spot at the table. The first time I asked, "Who is that place for?" Thinking maybe her baby doll because my husband/their dad was working that evening. My daughter said, "That's for Jesus!". So for a long time we set a place for Jesus until one day she grew out of it. I think when we sit for family meals I'll start putting a place for Jesus at our table again. 🍽 ❤

It’s good to remember all that Jesus has done for us. Without him we’re done for! He died so that we have a chance to live with God in heaven. There will be none of those temptations there and Jesus can help you in this life if you’re truly ready and willing to live for him. I’m in the same boat as you though. I’m trying more and more to live for him but I’m always worried what people will think of me because of all the persecution I see online. I’ll pray for you man. I want to see the best for you!

Here is one of thing that will help us all more. Spend time in deep prayer daily. Meaning be sincere and pray from the heart not out of duty or ritual. Express fear, sin, pride, lust, etc. Jesus said when you pray… So he expects us to communicate with him daily. We are to spend intimate time with him. Prayers need to have an objective so write down the things to focus on in prayer so it’s not aimless rambling. Here’s a quote from an early Christian, “my life is one continuous prayer.” In other words stay in communication with Jesus.

The one thing keeping me from going all in is constantly my pride! When I wake up each day, I must lay down my life and take the life Jesus has given me. Sometimes I wake up and I do not submit.. i begin to get a chip on my shoulder and it only goes downhill from there. I couldn't have heard this at a better time. This past week I realized and confessed to myself that what is keeping me from going all in with God is my addiction to Marijuana. I know people might read this and say it can't be a addiction. It has kept me from truly getting close to God. Been battling with this for years I get better go months without and and I fall back into my sin and turn to drugs. I get high and at that moment I still don't even feel satisfaction. I feel empty still and alone. Lord I need you forgive me for putting other things in place of your love and wisdom. I need help and confessing my sins and weaknesses has helped me. I have never said it out loud but I want everyone to know that I am weak and I need my Father Jesus Christ to lift me and renew my mind and heart to be like his.

I quit smoking for months then I start thinking I’m good and can control it but eventually it turns back into everyday all day 24/7 until I do it over again. I actually like being sober, everything is so much sharper and clearer but something always pulls me back

I have fallen deeply into greed, pursuit of money and worldly things and lust. I caved into the overwhelming temptations rife in the world. From your message, I can tell you have a heart that wants God and that wants to seek and pursue Him - I also want to encourage you that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion, He is still working on you and in you, because He’s faithful in His commitment us 😊 but not just to “us”, but to you personally, because He loves you and has called you by name to be His child through Jesus Christ. As someone who has backslid and is struggling to get back with Jesus, I understand the pain that can come when we feel lost and have to battle the lies He has left us. This can be hard, because all you want is Him, but similarly, I want to tell you that He has never left and you and wants to keep having that relationship with you still right now, and that desire to want to want Him comes from God. in His Word He has made you a promise which says, “I will never leave you or forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Our sin separates us from God, not our feelings, by that I mean our feelings can lie to us and tell us things that aren’t true (which is why, were encouraged to walk by faith and not by sight, walking according to what Gods Word says in true and not our feelings, because our feelings will change and lie to us, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever), our feelings will make us “feel” condemned at times even if we have asked for forgiveness and have turned away from that sin and put our trust in Jesus death covering that sin, and though our feelings may say something contrary to feeling forgiven, God promises if we do (repent and believe)we’ll find forgiveness. (1 John 3:20) some lies I can believe are, “ God has left me”, whereas the truth is He will never leave me or forsake me. Or, “ I’ve sinned and God can’t forgive me”, but His Word says if we confess our sins and turn away from our sin and believe in what Jesus did as being the payment to cover our sin, He WILL forgive us🩷 . So we have to turn from our sin, believe that Jesus has covered that sin and also accept His forgiveness and walk with Him, He wants to walk with you and help you overcome anything you might be struggling with. God is for you and not against you in Christ🩷

You will never be perfect, even as a believer. That’s not to say we should deliberately sin and do whatever we want. But take heart, because God is rich and endless in mercy, he won’t turn his face from you if you genuinely come to him with a broken and contrite (meaning genuine/serious) heart. The Lord loves those who diligently seek him. This doesn’t mean we look for him when we need something or a feeling, or forgiveness. He wants all of us, all the good and all the bad. @@ellena1838 Depends on what you are busy in. One of the most busy people are people in the ministry. When you serve people in the ministry, it's 24/7 service. There's funeral, weddings, baptism etc. When the church has a Christian school and a Bible college, bus ministry, prison ministry, military ministry and many other ministries within the ministries it gets very busy. When you are serving in the ministries, you have to do different jobs daily. Pastor, preach, teach, janitorial, gardener, mechanic, bus driver, visitations, soul winning and etc. Staying busy in the ministry is a good thing. I'm pretty sure the devil doesn't like it when people are busy in ministries.

What's keeping me is the desires of this world. I want to grow close to God, and I know how it feels to be lukewarm and in need of a savior. I want to go to Him, and give Him my all. I don't want to be a worldly person, yet I want to be called a son of God. Christian life isn't easy, but Jesus never said we would never have temptations. God says that He is faithful and no temptation will be too hard for us to resist. In God we not only find peace, but we can find the way out of this world full of problems and pain. I had a conversation with a friend of mind and he said to me it’s two types of people in the world you can be a circle and keep repeating the same cycle, or a straight line that will get you to everything that u need in life, the right way, and it opened my eyes to seeing all paterns I do. God is good I came a long way from what I use to be, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke weed anymore, I’m dealing with lust right now but he will release that from me, like he did everything else. Keep you trust in God first and have faith like a mustered seed, this journey was not easy, I still go through things, I remain faithful everyday. I hope these words help someone today.

Sadly enough….fear. I know that in itself, that reason is unhealthy, and un biblical. As Christians, we are not taught to lead a life of fear… But I’m afraid of disappointing the Lord once again. For 35 years, I’ve been lukewarm, not leading a life of a Christian that I promised to do. Being lukewarm was a contributing factor in my failed marriage. It has driven friends away, and caused turmoil in my life. I’m simply tired of disappointing people… Primarily Jesus, the one who died for all the sins that I’ve committed. My life is over , halfway done at this point… Provided that the Lord allows me to live longer, and I can’t afford to be lukewarm any more. None of us can. The difficult part, sometimes, is living with the knowledge of my failed past due to my poor decisions. It’s just difficult, and I’m hoping that by jumping in with both feet, and no longer being lukewarm… That my God will see me through to the end of the race.

Thank you Lord for providing this video at this time! I know I personally struggle with lust, greed, pride, allowing the enemy to get in my head, lack of patience, striving to be financially free, idolatry of my phone, cars, music etc. It’s hard being almost 20 yrs old in today’s world but Christ won’t allow me to fail! Very happy to see the growth in my life but still got a long ways to go. Nonetheless it’s a process/journey and i’m grateful I get to do it alongside my Father, Savior, Lord and Shepherd!

I thought I was giving my life to Christ. Turns out, I knew nothing. I even read the Bible and prayed on an often basis, overall spending time with God. But, a good majority of my time in a day was spent scrolling on social media and gorging video games. Plus, I wasn't having much faith. I knew God wanted more from me. He revealed that I was proud-hearted, for I wasn't letting him have much control in my life. I'm taking a break from my habits so I can focus on loving God.

Things that keep me from going all in for God is Laziness, fear and doubt and lack of knowledge of who He is! I've started my walk with God in more recent times and I will say it's been quite the journey. Im building my faith more and more as I gain a more intimate relationship with Him but I know there's more I can be doing. What's stopping me from going all in is my community, i feel like I rot whenever I'm around them, I feel it's because I fear their opinion. Whenever I'm at home and I try to read my Bible and when a family member comes in, I always close it and act like I'm doing something else. I don't 100% agree with their denomination and im afraid to admit it. And I want to tell them what I think, I know God wants me to do that but Im deadly terrified, it's like I can't have faith.

I was heavy into pain medicine for many years Now I’m older and I need some pain medication and I struggle daily if I’m still in God’s good graces Please help 😢

My friend, you are surely still under God’s grace! Jesus died on the cross for us knowing EVERYTHING we would ever do. His love covers multitudes of sins, and it is more than enough to cover all the sins of the world-as many as there could and will ever be-so your sins are surely forgiven. As for the pain medicine now, just make sure you know where it stands in your life. The medication is not your god; Jesus is! Reverence Jesus, and have no fear of addiction. The Holy Spirit will stay your heart and mind in Jesus and His love and freeing power so that you will not renter the bondage of your youth. You can make it and KNOW that God loves you no matter what! My big struggle has been pornography, and really a consistent drive for stimulation, whether that be my mind or body. Reading the Word doesn’t give my brain the dopamine that it seeks all the time, but my spirit REJOICES when I listen to the Lord in the Bible and when I see others come to Christ or talk about Him well. Though I struggle now, God still loves me, even though no one deserves His love, and especially not me. He’s too good! Don’t doubt His grace. Keep your head up and walk in His light so that your joy and peace will remain, and others will be inspired to love Jesus in these last days. It’s not about being in God’s good graces because none of us are good on our own and none of us deserve God’s love and grace. It’s about surrendering everything to God so He can help you through it. Put it in His hands. If you give your life to Him He will bring you from death to life, and if you give these struggles to Him completely and constantly then he will bring you out of addiction or anything else too💗

I came across your comment and I just wanted to say you are not alone, my friend. I am feeling the exact same way. What we can do is keep talking to Jesus. Never stop opening up to Him. Never stop asking for help, because He is faithful and True and He is ready to help. It may not be in the way we THINK we should be helped, but He knows exactly what we need even more than we do ourselves. He will lift you up out of your doubt, He will put love in your heart and life in your body. He has you. He won’t forsake you nor forget you. I believe in that. You believe in that.
