Unfortunately zach went under the knife before the trade deadline. They were pigeon holed into keeping him. Whether zach did that to keep from being traded is debatable but i think it was best for him to have it. Seems like a good guy and hope he ends up happy wherever he goes

Yeap the pick is more valuable so you gotta use it to move him, better sooner than later for the bulls, they have 19 rookies and 2nd year players they have to vet at the NBA level . they can afford to lose a 1st in the next year or two cause they have a lot of young talent. We dont like giving up picks, but better to fix the issue now than drag it out for the next 4 years.. They finally have some Power Fowards that play like Power Fowards so regardless of Zach or Debo being in Chicago, the offense and defense are going to be better than the last two years.. Just move them and move on.

Keep this in mind…the Bulls will have moved on from potentially 3 high level players from there team in Caruso, LaVine, and Derozan…and all the team will get in return is Josh Giddey and possibly 1 or 2 second round picks. For those 3 high caliber players!!! That’s a FO that doesn’t know how to forecast the landscape of the league they were hired to manage.

Yes and no. How could they foresee what happened with lonzo? Ima. Vacuum, we were first in the east before zo went down. We had the pieces and were left with a situation where lonzo showed with him, we competing for first place. Meanwhile they had to sit and wait to see WHAT was wrong with lonzo. They didnt know. They got strong armed into an impossible situation. 1st in the east if he comes back. Or. Give up on the team and all the assets traded to have a said team to move on in 12 months time?
