That's where you are wrong. The current govt is way more connected to the ground realities than all you liberal elites, this is the main reason they win. Most problems in modern India exist bcz in 1947 Congress had a very fake idea of secular India. They imposed a western secular model on India when in reality the culture of Bharat has always been secular. You think India was built in 1947 but most India beleives in Bharat which has existed for thousands of years. Miss Roy is an intellectual and when an intellectual is responding to a question, we should listen patiently and not rush in to counter her every word or sentence. To me it appeared as if you were in some sort of competition with her to prove yourself as a comparable. An honest truth is that you are just a journalist asking questions based on facts, and she was the one who was giving us some insight and wisdom based on her intellect. I am an admirer of Karan Thapar, BUT I was disappointed that Mr. Thapar WOULD NOT let Arundhati Roy talk about the Hindu Caste system ! Many " low Caste " Hindus left Hinduism to follow BUDDHA when Buddha walked the Earth . YES , contrary to the LIES of ABHIJIT CHAVDA the Caste system of India ( which is based on the lightness / darkness of a person`s skin ) pre-dates the Buddha !!
