I know Dublin is not everybody's cup of tea, I'm a very very proud Irish man but I'm an even prouder Dub. Our county has been through so much over the centuries and the amount of history is mind blowing so many stories it's just beautiful to me. Up Da Dubs 🟦⬜💚🤍🧡

Part of my DNA analysis says I'm 58 percent Irish (Roscommon) and 3 percent Norwegian which I'm thinking must be from the Vikings since I have no known recent ancestors from Norway. Just a tid bit that makes me wonder how many modern Irish folk have a similar blend.

Dublin existed before the Vikings raided it. There was a gael settlement before the vikings invaded Ireland.

@@TheWisdomOfOdin You mentioned it yes,, but still went on about how Dublin was founded by Vikings. It was in fact not founded by the Vikings. They built a port there, yes. But that was about it.

@salembookworm The way they lived, worked, and their justice system was heavily influenced by the viking occupation. In fact, so was England. Dane law brought about the way our judicial system is today

They took a small settlement and turned into some else, along with naming it. Essentially the Vikings did found Dublin.

As far as I know, and I could be wrong here, Dublin was also known as the norse kingdom of Dyflan. And, long with Leeds in England, was actually the capital of Scandinavia. Probably putting the cat among the pigeons here, but I think I remember reading that.

Come share this man videos. This is his version of a raid. But a raid of knowledge. Let's get this man filthy rich like the kings for he is pure hearted. And make this man Jesus rich 😂. Cause he does more story's and covers more and goes through more as a man. @@TheWisdomOfOdin
