I love this video. I would add that one way to connect to Frigg is through domestic work- cleaning, weaving, cooking, baking, crochet, knitting, sewing, etc. I find she's really happy when I devote my crochet to her. I'm starting a crochet business and I've been connecting more to her through the process.

Hi. I've got a question that I'd like to ask, that I mean respectfully, as a fellow Pagan. I've always found it really odd when many Pagans say "I work WITH Thor, Odin, Frigg, etc." To me the Gods are much more then us , and even though I realise it isn't meant in that way, it feels like by saying "working WITH" it is putting us on a par with the Gods, as an equal, and to me this seems quite arrogant. I'm not trying to police speech, or how others describe their relationships with the Gods, I'm just curious if its because some people think saying "worship" is in their minds akin to Christianity?
@kiwiixoxo2 жыл бұрын
@@richb3802 The reason I say “work with” is because that’s exactly my relationship with Frigg. My practice involves a lot of house magick in which she helps me with. I understand how it could sound that way to someone, but as an eclectic pagan and a witchcraft practitioner, I see a human’s relationship with the gods as more than just worshiping them. At the very least, I exchange offerings for favors. To me, the word worship doesn’t fit that relationship. Work with does better. But it is all just preference:)
@richb38022 жыл бұрын
@@kiwiixoxo Hi. Thanks for your answer to my question. I thought it may have something to do with witchcraft.
@kiwiixoxo2 жыл бұрын
@@richb3802 Witchcraft does play a part, yes. But even deities that I don’t do witchcraft with I say “work with” too because of that relationship based on exchange. It just fits more for me:)

Thank you for this in-depth video. You showed that the Goddesses Frigga and Freyja are two different deities, which has been an argument for some time. I am closer to Freyja; even though being a mother and grandmother, Freyja has guided me throughout for strength and courage. Since your video today, it made me aware that Frigga is the one I should pray and offer to in regards to my mother, who is alive and kicking at 101 years young. Yes, you read that right 😊. So again, my friend, thanks for all you do. Looking forward to Freyr. Skål!

I did my first ritual ever, for Frigg, a little over a year ago. I offered her homemade bread and various things connected to her, such as sewing. I had my one set of baby clothes I've bought there as well, asking for fertile energy for my womb. Over a year now, almost two years trying to conceive, so far, the answer has been "not yet". But I can look back on these two years and see how much I have learned from this painful journey and how much I've grown.

I know this is an old series, but I was wondering if you would be willing to go into more detail about why you do not think the Gods had sexuality to them?
@TheWisdomOfOdin2 жыл бұрын
My use of the term "sexuality" when it comes to this statement is being sexually attracted, or having sexual preference. The Gods in my opinion are above such understandings of sex. They are ethereal beings that do not have sexual needs like we do. Their relationship in birthing or having sex with another being is a human understanding of a more complex relationship between spiritual energies. For example, I don't believe Odin had sex with the earth to create Thor.

Ever since gobekli tepe was found I can't help but think the people there migrated east and west and north merging with local beliefs and the original "Odin" was from there. It's pretty close to Egypt as well and I can't help but see similarities in ideas and concepts across the various old religions loka in Sanskrit is world Loki is there for almost every major stories and his children are aspects of the universe almost like hes the driving factor of change not to be worshipped but venerated for being the force of change we need regardless of whether we see it as good or bad. Almost like he's the host of the karmic wheel making sure it keeps spinning.

It is a very big debate! I'm sorry that you get hate for it. There is a lot to suggest that they are separate , people combined them together for some reason. I think part of it is because Frigga is not mentioned as much as say Freya. Frigga does and stands for very different things. Both are wonderful goddesses, though, I tend to relate more to Frigga myself.

Am I the only one that after watching this video I kind of get a feeling of similar to other religions the God Goddess figure that's supposed to be on the same level as the God is kind of written out of the picture in a way? I don't really know much about her as I do Freya. It doesn't help most stories I have always seen mesh her with Freya. Why? Yes the Freya/Frig amalgamations seem independent and all but they never felt on the same level as Odin to me. Why can't I have this Bad @$$ All Mother that's seen as Odin's equal. To me it kinda makes a lot more sense this way.

So you are quite authentic & need to put the real out there to counter the other BS. But just a little too quick to realistically grasp content. Hailsa to you. We need some real wordsmiths out there. This is the first of your Posts Ive seen. The 2nd part you speak slower & easier to follow. I like your Hagalaz Mother Rune symbol. There are some good value ideas from Odins advice, the world can use today for courtesy & behaviour, that would counteracr the current attitude of entitlement.

@aspen9326 well tell those people's you can wear whatever you want that Norwegians aren't the gate keepers of mjolnir, that the religion like Christianity hit most shores in, many different countries the worship of Germanic/Scandinavian God's, that the system of writing and religious beliefs themselves come from the Germanic tribes. More Norwegians and Scandinavians are Christians anyways, they couldn't even stop a forced conversion to Christ. Like the rest of us that have Europe and Scandinavian decent, there's no America DNA.
