"the salty fishy flavor is simply not how fish should taste" its fish and you added salt to it, I fail to understand how it could taste like anything other than salty fish. also, if you want to describe the flavor of something, you shouldn't compare it to itself. that's like me saying "you know what Mexican Chinese food tastes like? it tastes like Mexican Chinese food!" I apologize if this comes off as harsh criticism but those two things confused the hell out of me.
@TheWolfePit7 жыл бұрын
If you've ever had good fresh fish, it does NOT taste fishy or salty. It being salty had nothing to do with the salt I put on it, it's like a sweat salty flavor I'm referring to not an 'added salt to my fish' salty. If you've never had decent seafood then my description will be confusing. Good fresh seafood should be sweet and briny (taste like the ocean), not fishy and salty.
@lightningfarronxp88997 жыл бұрын
that's for clearing that up. its not that i've never had decent seafood more so as I'm not a food connoisseur so those kind of subtleties easily go over my head and based on the comment section, I'm not the only one who feels this way. all I'm saying is that going into detail on flavor, like you did just now, is very helpful and gives us more insight on not just what you think of the food but whether we might like something or not.
@Yawyna1246 жыл бұрын
What people mean by "fishy" is probably not what you're thinking of. "Fishy" refers to the scent/flavor that old/processed fish tends to pick up i.e. canned tuna fish.

Jonathan Doe I avoid them with a passion. Back in the 70's/80's they used to run drugs/money out of Arkansas to Kansas in loads of live chickens and processed ones. They would get the drugs to a processor in iola Kansas on hiway 54 that was considered America's main Street. From there the drugs would be sent all over. The money would come back much the same way. They were part of the mena bunch.

Jonathan Doe came over to read this last post and was greeted with a Tyson ad.... hahaha. When old man Thompson owned the plant he treated his workers well. Tyson cheated/swindled him out if the company and it went down hill from there. Foreign workers treated bad. Locals treated bad, basically work in shitty conditions for squat or we will just bring in more foreigners. Safety procedures not followed. It was a mess. Tyson also cheated chicken producers out of money, took over some farms. Nope stay away if you can. It's about impossible.

The reason the flounder says "Until Ready" is because you could literally eat it safely at any temperature, so they don't have to worry about specifying a temperature that would get them sued otherwise.

My wife and I eat the flounder but I cook it differently. It is great and give us an opportunity to have something that we normally could not afford. The dollar tree is not always a great bargain! But if you just stop and think about what you want to make, and you use your imagination to create that then you will surprise yourself. The main point is to use your own imagination and what you have to work with. Don't judge what you have instead take what you have and make it what you want! By the way Larry me and my family ❤️ you. I hope to have you and your family as guest at my dinner table, but that may be I. The back yard because I love to cook outside. But my secret passion is just sharing food with everyone.

I know you were following the directions, but it really doesn't take much to thaw frozen fish like that. Just toss the bag in a bowl of warm water in the sink and in about 30 minutes it's ready to go. I do that all the time with frozen salmon (which is delicious) filet's from Sam's. I've also cooked them frozen a few times and the difference is remarkable. They're vastly better thawed. If you want to spare an extra buck to try it again, I'd be interested in your thoughts.

I am waiting for the day Larry does a live video of cooking everything. I can see it happening. Wouldn't be a bad thing watching the Plastisue work in real time. :)

With $5.34, you can get a single steak cheeseburger with fries & a drink at steak n’ shake. That’s in Georgia, I don’t know about other states, since taxes vary.

We had a guinea pig when our kids were little. They brought it home from school. We did not thank the teacher. That guinea pig lived a life of luxury for 7 years. Funny, we never thought of eating it! She was fat and plump for sure! I'd eat this $5 meal though. Thanks! Maybe there's hope for Dollar Tree Specials!

I've had excellent luck with all of PictSweet frozen veggies. Their corn is especially good.

Actually there is quite a few flounder on the eastern seaboard! But that industry collapsed about a century ago! But you can individually catch huge flounder!

2 questions: 1) Why do you cook it in the toaster oven? 2) I think the companies purposely leave this food bland for the person eating it to spice.
