This is probably my all-time favorite Fleshgod Apocalypse song. Beyond the instrumentals (and holy shit, that piano), I love the story that the video tells. IMO, the ballet with the two dancers represents their love. But, like in love, sometimes you slip and hit the ground. I found the editing to be really interesting as you see two sides to almost every interaction after that. As soon as she falls, you see him looking at her menacingly. Then, its a smash cut to her pushing him away and him being surprised by it. It was either done intentionally to harm her (her perspective), or an accident that she was trying to apologize for. Then she meets the other dancer who she presumably falls in love with only for him to disappear. And as he does, she is consumed by her grief and shame. You see him run to comfort her and he screams as she dies (right when the solo hits, of course). But then there's a cut to him licking the blood off of her as if he wanted her dead. Then there's a cut to him lying dead with her not in the shot. The final vignette of her waking up and smiling is the final cut that makes this story compelling. Goddammit I love metal.
