That's one way to interpret it. Asger has said in the past that while there is generally intent and meaning behind his lyrics, he likes to write in a way that leaves the lyrics open for people to form their own meaning and connection with their songs. Which is brilliant in my opinion.

Witness is an amazing album. Their most recent album, Friend of a Phantom, seems more straight forward, and less progression, but that doesn't mean it's a bad album. Not by any means. It is a very emotional album, in my opinion. There are moments where it leaves me crying. There are pretty heavy songs on it though, Paper Wolf and Cannibal. They're such an underrated band, but oh so good. Theres a reason why they're my favorite band.
