@@madddog6790 I loved it. ❤ Especially because at the end Marco and Floor would just smile at each other and put their heads together. (Marco and Tarja do the same, and I think Tony and Tarja did too.) And it was nice to be able to keep a promise I made to Erkka, the guitarist and father of RJ, to go back to Finland and see the 15th anniversary tour. 😊 (The only thing that made me sad was that my first shows didn't include my favourite singer, JP Leppäluoto, due to his own Christmas tour schedule. 😅 But I still saw him at his own show, and RJ was a wonderful experience. I'm definitely seeing it again when I can.)

@@corinna007 i'm SO jealous! I just watched the show again after my post...put me in a good mood, and I beat Amazon like a drum to get the rest of my Christmas shopping done! About the only thing missing from that show of note was the number Floor did with Joe Lynn Turner...poor guy, I think he's even shorter than Emppu, and Floor absolutely towered over him. Ah, our Amazon Warrior Queen :).

The one thing that always catches me with this performance is the range Marko and Floor have, linguistically. If you listen closely, you'll catch that Marko is singing his verse completely in Finnish, while Floor goes from Italian then into English, before finishing off as a duet. To be able to flip like that, mid verse is a difficult thing to do, and they nailed it.

It's Latin btw. It's pretty cool, I love the variety of languages. But it's not that difficult to switch between two languages, at least not if you speak one of them fluently like Floor does. And the Latin part isn't that hard. But it doesn't matter at all, it's just so beautiful. I'm more impressed with the Christmas song Floor sung in Finnish. That must have been a real challenge.

The performers of the project are well-known Finnish metal and rock singers. In addition, all published Heavy Christmas albums have sold at least gold in Finland. This year’s tour was suspended.

The Finnish TV network YLE had about an hour's excerpt from this show on their website for a while, which is where this came from by the looks of it. It was an *awesome* show, from start to finish (haha). Elize from Amaranthe did a version of the Swedish song Julen ar har that was awesome as well. And Marko and the boys did a rousing version of Little Drummer Boy in Finnish. I recorded it, but there is an annoying audio glitch every 10 seconds (copyright shenanigans I'm sure), but it's still amazing. Great music and even better vibe!

--This post is ONLY for Travis and Suzie, please.-- My friends, I am not trying to be critical, I promise, but lately I've been noticing something about your reactions. It seems like it has become sort of a conveyor belt of songs, just churning ' em out, one after another. Formulaic, even. Every song it seems you stop every few seconds, (I guess to appease the YT brass) just to say something uninspired like, "Ooh, that sounds nice." I mean, this song was only 5 minutes and some change and you stopped it 4 times, 3 of which were simply to say it sounds lovely. And I feel like you do this for just about every song. Lather, rinse, repeat. The only reason I bring it up is because I started getting annoyed and then stopped checking in with you guys. But, if I don't tell you why, it won't really help you. And maybe I am the only one who feels this way, in which case you can feel free to ignore me. But, maybe I'm not the only one. If I were an asshole, I would just disappear and never tell you anything. I just feel like lately you are punching a time card, like it's a job and not necessarily a joy. And I don't mean to imply that you are grumpy in any way, nor am I saying that you aren't lovely and pleasant - you are! It's just... well, truthfully, it's hard to put my finger on it. It just seems like each reaction is a formula. Anyway, please don't be angry at me. I am not trying to stir up trouble. I'm only trying to give you some constructive criticism, or what I see might be a problem. Again, I might be the only one who thinks this.
