It doesn't take much testing and some data plotting that anyone with a high school diploma can do to find out the R27T is worse in every single aspect compared to the R24T. The 27R is undoubtedly better than the 24R purely because of G pull but the 29's finnicky radar just makes it much more unnecessarily annoying to use. I grinded the MiG-29, but I'm going back to my MLD.

The F4J has the HMS, but thinking about it, since you can only really look up most of the time in SIM, it isn't really helpful since the missile are on the bottom of the plane. But i guess in ARB i can help to shoot down.

im sorry are people fucking crazy gajin has said that it is underperforming compared to the f 16 the average winrate is 30 percent the r27t are long range r60 the radar is still broken and even when it works the r27r is just crap for some reason very slow and pulls no g at all and if you are going anywhere above 700 kph it turns like an f-104 the mld is better in every aspect the radar works manuvers better no fuel issue and the r24t is way more reliable i dont know what buff it need but it need something to be done about it

The F-16 also suffers from compression at high speeds but also gaijin felt the need to nerf the F-16 by setting the FBW maximum AoA to be the same as the G limit. It makes it turn like an F-104 at high speeds and a phantom at low speeds.

I want bigger maps but burning the whole game isnt the best idea, it wastes immense amounts of fuel once youre in later afterburner stages, and it keeps your plane extremely hot. I typically fly straight at 95-100% throttle until the plane is flying at about 700km/h, then I activate stage 1 afterburners to climb to 6-10k alt, & after that Ill either push in to later burner stages and orbit while I look for targets and intercept, or alternate between 100% throttle and stage 1 to stay around mach 0.9 for dogfighting

Been flying it in Sim with a Win:Death ratio of 4:1. After a few hours i realise that even with this ratio you lose alot of money because its around 27k for the full repair and armament package. Lost around 600k SL this way...

the 23ML is worth it. Kinda tricky at first, but once you learn to abuse altitude and your IRST you will get 2 kills a game minimum. best of luck man!

The mig 29 needs a long range bore sight like it has in real life. Not having this makes in tough in the current meta were everyone mosh pits. You cant pick your target out with the vertical scan acm.

Cuz he propably didnt get mig-29, i got both of planes, and lmao, in mig-29 u really need a lot of luck and skill to do something, in f-16 u can turn off u brain like in f-14 and just spam sparrows and get kills easily, im playing with loud music any with my brain off with f-14 and i get 3-5 kills all the time, when in mig-29 without music and full focus getting 3 kills its pretty hard, but well, what a suprise? its got now r27er which are not bad missiles but slows u jet a lot and u still gonna die more often than getting a kills with that because garbage radar and u waste time to get lock on someone, i prefer r27t but they are flarable pretty easily so pretty awesome "best missiles with flares counterparts" The fact is rvr is meta because its easier to get a kill with sparrow in this game than irl, and about IR missiles then lol we got old ass missiles and stupid markers so getting a kill with them its pretty hard when u just one button them, not mentioning the r60m with completely weak range which is hard to suprise shoot cuz this range is that lame that enemy can hear u engine compared to aim9l which can be launched from 2x more range and are much better than r60m. The fact is mig29 needs even more fixes for radar and R73 or even R27ET. And we need tornado f3, gripen and mig31. I got most of jets and i have no problem to admit that murika ones are the best ones cuz they are so easy to play, and F-16 is the best jet atm even with stupid g limit lock (which propably are here because if gaijin gonna remove thats GL with killing F-16)

What's frustrating is in WT they rarely make planes accurately. For instance an F14 should absolutely dominate a rate fight against a Mig29, good luck with that in game.

when it comes to loadout, which is pretty much all that matters at these tiers, the mig is very underpowered. they completely gutted it. anyone with half a brain cell paying attention, will pop a single flare/chaff, and your missile is defeated. your flight performance dont matter because you have zero early game presence and must play like a vulture and go for unaware/distracted targets. your team will most likely evaporate, and then your stuck 1v6 or more, trying to dodge/flare 18+ missiles. the radar is ass, the irst is wrong and is total shit.

It helps that most opponents are either blind germans or premium players which are mobile XP farms. With planes, i'm at the late props and looking to learn jet combat. I've got myself a MiG-23 premium with the money from selling event stuff, but i don't want to use it untill i learn jet combat.

“Maneuvers very well” such lies. Shit flies like a whale. 2:15 literally just another complete lie, at the moment r7ts are completely bugged and preform horribly not to mention absolutely zero and I mean zero flare resistance. The r60ms are also very lacking.

It really does. I did some math. Relatively speaking it has 57% less flat out acceleration, 22% worse top speed and 35% worse range against a target flying at ~800kph. I was forced to try this out since it straight up felt like a whale on the live server. Try it for yourself, no math required. Go at 500kph and launch a 2XT at the sabres, at 7km range in test flight. With 500kph initial, the R24T reaches the sabre in about 30 seconds, so it travels the 7km in 30 seconds while keeping in mind that it also has to cover the extra distance the sabre has flown in those 30 seconds. The R27T stops gaining at all and starts losing distance at 3.01 kilometres, at 32 seconds. It barely made it more than half the way there. It loses speed like crazy and it is slower to begin with even despite longer burn time. You don't need math to see the results of the shitty performance but some math definitely shows it's ~50% worse all in all than the 24T. I'm going back to my MLD.

I still feel like R-73s will be too much to add alone, at least without AIM-9Ms and newer missiles for other nations too. As it stands, the only advantage the F-16 has, even slightly, is in close quarters. The MiG-29 is better at longer ranges.

@@SuiSideex R-73s were fine in the first dev server. They were an upgrade over R-60Ms but still possible to deal with. For some reason though Gaijin buffed them to hell then decided they were too OP. It went from being an upgrade to being just a blatant win button that could ignore any countermeasures. Sparrows are manageable if you know what you're doing

But you need to remember F-16 First official flight in 2 February 1974 Mig-29 August 1983 So you're talking almost 10 yr. gap in the jets alone. So apparently that doesn't matter much. 9L was 1977 but R-27ER 1987 Also 10 yrs. apart are you seeing a trend?

Unfortunately, US Airforce was lacking missile like R-73 completely in this period, as well as Soviet airforce lacked something like AIM-54 on their planes and it should be depicted in the game. AIM-120 on later versions is OK, but Mig was built with R-73, half of it's combat abilities depend on it like HMD on high AOA.
