If Orji was pushing returning JJ - like JJ did Cade in ‘22 - or if Warren/Tuttle/Orji/Denegal had even threatened JJ last year - I’d feel fine. This feels quite a bit - not that.

JJ was a top 10 or 11 draft pick, if you have a first round QB you are not splitting reps with that kind of player, 2nd string gets reps in blowouts and on scout teams. Think Alex got those reps last year on scout, and occasional wild cat package to throw opposing D off

I just say Campbell and Moore really need to earn their pay and justify the promotions with very good to great from the QB and Oline. QB 5 points and Oline 2 points of the 7 point neutral field dog to OSU OR TX - Coaching and development excellence can close or even flip!

My opinion is Davis Warren gives the best chance of having a legitimate passing attack..and he can run if he has to.

@@davidwright1728 I like Warren because I've seen nothing that tells me Alex Orji 💯 percent freak athleticism is a passer of the football down field. He will get the chance to prove all of us wrong . But this is Michigan after Harbaugh. No one wants to go back to mediocre . But unless UM OC has run , run, run, then pass on his mind again this year , I caution all to bring your patience with you. From what I have seen Fresno St still won't be able to stop UM . So......

It has to be orji. We were told he was maybe the best athlete on the team. They gave him snaps in the biggest games of the year. They didn't bring in any transfer to compete. If its not orji im going to feel like I was lied to

@@nicholastaiariol2631 Hint of irony - just like Mr All World Stroud was to blame when there were 6 rushing TD’s against followed by 2 TD’s for 160, too. I think OSU didn’t upgrade - and maybe McCord scapegoated into tragic loss of self confidence to go with no team support. Not many QB’s have that kind of year as first year starter or face a tougher big game challenge only to be one play short. Not quite Josh Allen v Patrick Mahomes but close to the college version in a tough loss. Some very good throws - and some very good QB’s looked much less than ordinary v that D.

Hard to repeat National Championship when you've been gutted coaching wise the way UM has . So .... expect as advertised a really good defense. But offensively ? U wouldn't be surprised if Davis Warren has to be inserted early because passing game/scheme hasn't been given a elite wr room . They struggled passing far to often. But again, you can struggle with a elite defense and still win . Iowa Hawkeyes been proving that for years now. But it doesn't always equal top 5 or 10. But it does prove you can't stay a one trick pony.

If Orji passed the eye test for pocket passing at a minimum, I would be giddy as hell about him . But ......😮 I saw what Davis Warren can do at times with very limited snaps and reps. That is honestly the guy I would take a hard long look at b4 I crown Orji the starting job .

Obviously. Tuttle and Warren (especially Warren) have clearly shown more promise as passers, and I'm sorry, but is this not the QUARTERBACK POSITION? Orji's size and speed is nice, but he's not a f*cking RB. He has to THROW THE BALL. That is the #1 priority.
