I think the part of the video that got to me most was when Dan and Tord helped Murph into the chair. It felt to me like that was symbolising the help of friends in a time of depression, but maybe it was simply just Dan and Tord wanting to be in the video.

what's sad about this song is that it actually shows you what depression is like, everybody is happy around you and having a great time and the your just there feeling emptier and emptier because all you feel is sadness

I feel like that really captures the whole album, happiness through depression. There's even this line in Schumacher the Champagne, "you might as well be proud of last place". Really cool theme, I loved this album. cheers

Such an underrated beautiful song. I completely understand about the depression people are feeling while there are so many good things going around. It is so much harder than that.

This could totally be me. Everytime I'm depressed I lie on the floor in my kitchen or I take every pillow and blanket I can find and build a den where I spend the whole day and hiss at everyone who wants to talk to me, build me up or just looks at me. And songs like this make me feel a little bit mor confident in those situations.

Please allow me to be your anti-depressant I too am prescribed as freely as any decongestant We kick back and let the pills do the talking People hear a distinct rattle when we're walking Then there's the extra two stone that's our only guarantee Our vivid dreams are just like big production movies They get entangled well within our daily routines So please re-think or use my trademark strategy And please allow me to be your anti-depressant I too am prescribed as freely as any decongestant It's hard to smile when you're as flattened as a pancake The only tears come from our heads when we concentrate Perhaps I'm being unjust or perhaps you agree Still I've thrown away my citalopram I needed more than what was in those 40 milligrams So cast away with the doctor's plans And please allow me to be your anti-depressant I too am prescribed as freely as any decongestant Still I've thrown away my citalopram Although I felt as grim as the reaper man So cast away with the doctor's plans Like me

Something I never thought about when they make these slow motion videos is that the singers lips match the track played over it... do they have to sing in slow motion when filming the video? lol
@paulgerald161910 жыл бұрын
Ive always wondered this to but i thought that the video was recorded normal but the song was played faster so when they slowed the whole thing down the video would be slow Mo and the song would then be played at its normal speed. if you find out the answer let me know.
@fionaWhatever10 жыл бұрын
they actually have to sing faster , so when they put it in slow motion the lip movements will match the lyrics. if you know troye sivan - he once did a 'behind the scenes' of filming a music video and there he said it :D and i guess every musician does it the same way in music videos ^^

I am about to listen to this song for the first time, but from reading your comment I understood you probably do get it even though I have no proof as I;ve yet to watch the video, but I have faith in you. Basically, I transformed myself, suicidal thoughts controlled my every action. Now I live to love myself an everyone else.
