I remember seeing 808 State back in the '90's. Such a great gig. I totally agree - hugely under appreciated. For my own honourable mention - Lopez. James Dean Bradfield's voice at it's finest and it always gives me that beautifully chilled out vibe of Albatross by Fleetwood Mac.

Agreed with no 1, Pacific is probably not just my favourite 808 track, but probably my best electronic track of all time. I also remember hearing Cubik for the first time and thinking WTF? this is so different to Pacific! Don't agree with all your choices but a good top 10! Cheers

I disagree, only the most melodic tracks were picked for the list and you totally forgot more rare dark items like Ski Family, State Ritual, Compulsion and strangely missed the melodic gem Lemonsoul. I'm surprised you even mentioned something from Newbuild.

all of those tracks are good but I don't quite rank them among my personal favorites (did consider Olympic for the list as that's a great one too, but I needed to stop somewhere with the honorable mentions) and Lemonsoul is actually my least favorite track from Outpost Transmission since I thought it was kinda dull, whoops. good thing it's all opinions
