Chris I really wanna do a survival challenge but out here we don't have that kind of place to go wild hunt and survive. I wish I was born in Canada 🍁. 👍 👌 ✌️ ❤️

Chris, I'll try to keep this short but I need to thank you. My nephew used to think I was such a cool aunt when he was younger, now he is 12 and doesn't want to hang out with his crazy aunt anymore. I was devastated. This is were you come in. Today I was talking about how much I love your channel and come to find out HE ALSO WATCHES your channel. We have something to connect over again. I cant thank you enough. My heart is full of hope again and it's all from your channel. Thank you do much! From one very happy aunt.

I would like to see you guys plant foragables around the cabin so you are still harvesting wild stuff but it's still a survival challenge. Most people back in the day would migrate or settle in with gardening. I like the garden idea, but would love to see you do a herb/seasoning section as well. It keeps you from using all the resources in your area, and boosts your native plants if you do just natives.

I like to mix wild rice with oriental rice. Yes, wild rice needs more water...but I believe the 'nuttiness' stands out more with the white rice 'canvas' to support it. Great cast on this one, with Mark also making a welcome appearance. I believe that for all the value your friends add to this program, you add the 'star quality' that a successful chanel needs. Thanks for all of you and your work!

Hey Chris Just wanted to say thanks. I’ve been a sub for a very long time. Even when you got really big you still take the time to answer or even acknowledge my comments. I know you really do read them as you did give me detailed advice when I texted about my son. Great on you. Love the vids and thanks for being real. You are far above many other Ontario you tubers in the same field. Cheers Terry

Thank you for all these videos you, Jeremy and Zachary have put on KZbin. It inspired me to try something new and I am going to try my hand at deer hunting this Saturday when the rifle season opens for Virginia. It took a while to learn and get the licenses, but I’m ready and I’m open for new experiences.

One way to cook fish is on a wet plank of wood and the heat rises as steam vapor to cook the fish, but for trout, you can tack the fish to a plank sitting vertically as a fire reflector off coals. That produces an excellent flavor.

I love watching these and will continue to watch these. I would like to see a wilderness living challenge be completed without gasoline. It is finite and non-renewable in a SHTF scenario. Removing it from your "allowed" list of usable items would keep these videos relatable to the masses. I do not have a trout farm, a generator, or a battery bank. And knowing you guys, you would still live pretty well.

Best squirrel I ever ate my grandma cooked back home in Virginia . She would cut them up in pieces and add salt and pepper to flour and roll squirrel in that and fry them up and then remove the cooked meat and add flour salt and pepper to pan and make a roux and add milk or water to make gravy and then add meat back in and cook for just a few minutes . Homemade biscuits with butter and the best meal you have ever ate .

Jeremy seems so monotone and doesn't seem to show any expressions or emotions but then I saw what he did around 21:10 or so and I died laughing. I LOVE the idea about the garden! Hello Mr Beardsman, I have a idea for fresh water a large plastic barrel with a mosquito net over it set outside of the cabin when if rain and put the cover on it when it doesn't and you have fresh clean water to drink and cook. Rain water is delicious

As a modern-day butcher I feel like raccoon would have a very fatty rich flavor which you described as pork mixed with chicken which is surprising to me because I would have expected it to be more beef flavored either way it looks yummy and I want some 😋

I was thinking about the pond fish from a eating wild caught game aspect only, as a homesteading.strategy it makes excellent sense to have a captive population of protein on the hoof so to speak. Live is better than frozen. I wish there was a bacon flavored fish.
